Purchased Expensive Helmet

I was having a Helmet for the last 8 years and it was working fine. It was pushed when I have bought my first bike and the price of that helmet was $15. Now I wanted to buy some helmets which looks good as well as it should be much more protective. I have listed 2 helmets Axor Apex and SMK Typhoon. Both of them have ECE 22.06 ratings and along with DOT as well as ISI mark. Both of them are around $55 which was my budget.

I went to the store to check Both of them and then I have selected the SMK Typhoon. Mainly because of the fit as well as it looked some what good. Sharing some of the unboxing photos of the same.

The best part of this helmet is that it comes with double visor. That means if there is high sun, then we can use the inner visor and at night we can use the normal visor. Along with that it has enough padding for protection as well as enough holes for air circulation. As of wearing it is little tighter, when asked the dealer he said that it will become better after wearing for few days.

So yeah this is actually one of the expensive helmets which I have bought, mainly because of the protection it gives. Look and feel is also good and love the design which makes it even more cooler. This is entry level helmet from SMK but still its having much more protection than the normal helmets. I have also checked the hammer test on the helmets and seen that the SMK helmets are good for protecting the skull which is actually needed.

So yeah it was actually a expensive helmet but it was worth it as it is much protective than teh helmets we get usually.
