🎉 Saturday Savers Club – Week 8: A Special Milestone! 🎉
Hello Hive friends and fellow Saturday Savers!
This week was a special one—I celebrated my 50th birthday! 🥳 Because of that, I spent much more time with family and friends than online, and it definitely reflects in my Hive savings report. Growth has been a bit slower, but hey, turning 50 is a once-in-a-lifetime event! 🎂🎈

- Performance: Fell -410 HP short 😬
Well… Not my best week, but I was celebrating, so no regrets! Next week, I’ll have to get back on track and step it up.

This isn’t surprising since HBD interest is only paid out once per month, so I expect a bump in two weeks.

🔹 What Moved This Week?
- LEO Jumped Big! 🚀 I converted some leftover SWAP.HIVE into LEO after filling up my favorite Diesel Pools first.
- BBHO Power-Up: I did another BBHO Power-Up, but unfortunately, it wasn’t as big as I had planned. I wanted to cross 250 BBHO power-up, but it didn’t happen this time.
- Steady EDSI Growth: Still increasing through HP delegations and EDS-D purchases, though a little slower than expected.
I was hoping for faster EDSI growth, but it’ll come! Patience is key (but let’s be honest, patience can also be annoying sometimes 😅).
📝 Other Updates
- Diesel Pools & Strategy Tweaks:
Every (almost) day, I refill my favorite pools before allocating leftover funds. This week, SWAP.HIVE:ATX, SWAP.HIVE:ATF, and SWAP.HIVE:PWR got some extra love. These pools keep generating returns, which will help fuel growth over time. - EDS Mini Miners (EDSMM):
I have 11.6 EDSMM, but honestly, I don’t think that’s enough to make a difference (yet!). Might need to consider stacking more of them. In the meantime, I do keep stacking as much EDSD as I can (read: as HBD comes in)
🎯 Looking Ahead to Next Week
- HP Catch-Up: This week’s power-up was lower than planned, so I’ll need to push harder in content creation and engagement.
- More Pool Stacking: I’ll keep building positions in Diesel Pools while fine-tuning where to allocate extra funds.
- Continue Layer-2 Growth: Especially BBHO, BXT, and LEO, with a focus on getting closer to my 2025 goals.
🏁 Final Thoughts
This week was a bit slower, but for a great reason—celebrating life and milestones! 🎉 Now that the celebrations are over, it’s time to refocus and build stronger momentum for next week.

Interesting... Are all of these liquidity pools, mini-miners and layer two Hive tokens really worth the trouble? I am focusing on Hive for now. Maybe you can have a series of posts about all of theses things and how they are a better opportunity than focusing on Hive Power / Curation and Author rewards?

Yes, these layer two things can definitely be worth the trouble, but focusing on Hive is always a good idea. In fact, these layer two tokens and their systems can aid your Hive works, as some of these tokens pay out Hive as dividend, which you then can use to power up, and grow your Hive account. That's basically the reason I got into these layer two things, to support my HP growth (next to creating good content, which is still the Nr1 for HP growth).
I appreciate your tip about writing these posts, and have put it into my ToDolist! So watch out, more to come ;-)

I should definitely get more into layer two, there is just too much on my plate, couple weeks ago launched my Hive Witness, got a promotion at work on Monday, launched my SPS validator node yesterday still working on it and looks like I will have to sell my house this spring so have to prepare it for the market.
