Splinterlands, Leofinance and 3Speak proof that Hive works

Splinterlands Gamefi environment is one that will continue to fascinate me, no matter how long I spend within its walls. The fact that a simple game was able to evolve into this mega machine with numerous working parts is worth study in universities.

Another interesting aspect of Splinterlands is the fact that it exists on Hive. At the time of writing, Splinterlands is easily the most played game in crypto space and is consistently in the top5 Dapps in terms of regular transactions.

It's not like those of us inside didn't know but the existence of Splinterlands and Leofinance which will be discussed later, is proof that the Hive blockchain works and it is one of the best places to build.

When you think about it, what every project needs to thrive is a platform that offers fast and reliable transaction speed. Your project also needs a community that enables easy access to your application and these are all key aspects of Hive.

Splinterlands makes it easy

When you think about Splinterlands and how it works, you'll find that we have a platform that is almost a perfect depiction of what Hive is about.

On Splinterlands, participants get the opportunity to be a part of a mega Gamefi environment for as low as $10 and be a part of a game that has what I feel is the most impressive Gamefi environment in crypto space.

Splinterlands seamless application of NFTs into the game at an affordable rate ensures that there are participants of all categories. Unlike games like Axie Infinity that have expensive entry barriers, Splinterlands offers a cost-effective, low barrier approach for participants to experience what true ownership is all about.

Built on Hive, Splinterlands also offers the extra benefit of being part of a large active community with numerous social features that transform the gaming experience. Unlike Twitter where bots ravage and scammers thrive, on Hive, we have a community that genuinely looks out for you and simply "liking" your publication earns you crypto to boot.

One of my favourite parts about Splinterlands is how seamless they make joining hive feel. You sign up with an email and after you pay for a summoner spellbook, you get a Hive address that obviously doubles as your Splinterlands username but with this move, you're part of Hive and also eligible to earn from publications.

I have run into numerous Splinterlands players on Twitter that didn't even realise that their Splinterlands account makes them eligible to be part of the blog to earn part of hive. I reckon that even right now, there are probably thousands of Hive wallet addresses that don't even know that they could also be using social features on Hive and earning from it.

Splinterlands does its best by sharing posts on Hive, interacting with the wider community and that's awesome marketing for Hive as a whole. However, I reckon that Hive will benefit from some level of internal marketing that tells SPlinterlands players that their accounts can be used for social activities.

Leofinance is super silky

One of my favourite things about Leofinance is how the project continues striving to offer a seamless experience of web 3 social media. It is not something that can be built overnight but instead, slowly being built with a strong community backing it.

Just like Splinterlands, your Leofinance account is a Hive account and just like Splinterlands, leofinance has taken great steps to simplify the process of account creation on Hive.

Unlike Splinterlands, creating an account on leofinance is absolutely free and most people creating through this route are already aware of the social media/blogging aspect of Hive.

One of the best innovations in Leofinance is the ability to use external applications to instantly create an account. This feature has added an extra layer of simplicity to account creation and one that I encourage many other hive projects to copy.

I recently onboarded people into the @hivefpl project with Leofinanc and all they needed was a Twitter account. This level of simplicity and aggressive approach is one of the things that makes Leofinance stand out amongst the rest.

One thing we can say for sure is that it is possible to upload videos directly on hive and it is thanks to 3speak. There's still a bit more to come from the project but right now, at least we can say we have our own.

3speak proves that with the right framework, it is possible to enjoy video content on Hive. Thanks to 3speak, you get to enjoy an uncensored and agenda-free route to sharing all sorts of videos.

Unlike most other platforms where you could outrightly get de-platformed, 3speak ensures that video content creators talk their shit without fear of being deleted because you don't cater to the "norm".

Hive actually works

At the end of the day, the moral of the story is that Hive works and it is proof that web 3 can thrive if given the opportunity.

At the time of writing, Hive is still far from its true potential, and this is beyond what the crypto market says. There's still a lot more to develop on the platform, lots of upgrades and stuff required to be able to offer services that are remotely similar to web 2 giants. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
