I've barely started doing DCA on Bitcoin few months ago and now it is already pull at much higher levels. I was happy buying Bitcoin around $65k and I said to myself that as long as it is under $70k it is a very good deal. But it seems that in just few days, or hours it jumped over that and as I am writing this article it stands at a value of $77k. That seems quite expensive now compare to what I was buying, but it might prove itself cheap compared to where it might go. Due to some personal finance restructuring on my behalf, I will not be able to throw much money into crypto, so probably this is a signal for me to take it easy. Not that I want to, but buying when there is a lot of hype in the air for some reason discourages me. If I was a short term investor, probably it made sense to jump on the wagon, but as I am bad at that and mostly investing long term there is a bit (10k differences) of motivation missing. But we all know how volatile crypto can be and maybe it will experience some fall back, case in which I will resume my investment.

In the previous bull run what worked for me is to do the same: DCA on Bitcoin until a price that made sense, after which just hold and wait for it to unveil itself. And when it went over $100k I simply sold it all and took profits. And my strategy was to repeat that in the current cycle, but for some reason my finances weren't as strong in order to do that consistently. I diverged a big portion of my investment allowance into stocks and I don't regret that as at the moment they are doing good enough. But we all know and have experienced that crypto just has much more upside and can make significant gains compared to other traditional investment instruments. So I might have missed the current wave of buying Bitcoin before it jumped, but I can catch the next wave if I am prepared enough. Let's see what will happen next.

One thing that I am glad about Bitcoin going high when everything was screaming bear market, is that it pulled other assets with it. I will not spoke about the majority of those that I have in my portfolio and are enjoying the rollercoaster going high, but I will just remain to HIVE.

Hive was quite depressing in the past period and as I exchanged a chunk of HBD ($7,000) into HIVE and powered it up, I was seeing each passing day how my portfolio was going down in value. Not that I wasn't expecting it or took into consideration, but you know, hope lies that. After HIVE went even under $0.04 mark, it now pulled back about 10% and it shows that the crypto market is uprising it as well. This is one doubt that I had if the market still can rejuvenate Hive or if it will move async from it. So while we are far away from HIVE intrinsic value, at least we had a proof that if the crypto market does well, so does Hive.
It still remains the matter of Hive tokenomics which in my opinion is still in overspending mode so that will affect it regardless. But at least there is some hope and if others will care enough for this ecosystem in order to block useless spending, we might have a chance. It is not easy to steer a ship in the right direction, but I believe that us as a community we might succeed. And if we succeed that together with the next bull run wave we might have a chance to consolidate our position in the web3 space. Not that we don't have the history behind us, but we need more apps, games and other tools that will ensure a solid user base regardless of the weather outside. So, let's enjoy the sparks that Bitcoin leaves behind and that are fueling also the Hive price and brings some more optimism about this ecosystem as well.
It’s a good thing that Hive has gone up but compared to other altcoins, it’s still lagging.l 😒
Your 7000 HBD conversion was a good idea and it will definitely pay off for you.
It feels really good to see our wallet growing with the every rise of hive 😊 And I have some good news too🥳
I’ve achieved my 50K HP target!
I’ll be making a post about it shortly.
Finally! Let’s hope that HIVE will get some leverage on BTC price. We should be able to 10x from here.
