Binance plans to delist Hive trading amongst other tokens starting tomorrow 21st of August 2026. I am a Binance user for quite a long time and I found the platform having everything that you would need when it comes to trading and exchanging and some nice perks of staking. But with not getting the Mica license, I ended up not using it as before considering that I am living in Europe. The intention from what I understood is to delist the HIVE/USDC pair, but the HIVE/USDT pair which I think runs on the Binance Chain will be kept. So things are not totally bad, but half bad. And in the long term, whether we like it or not, I think it is important for Hive to be listed on the big exchange for visibility and appealing to potential investors at least in the bull run periods. Losing this listing will hurt us in the long run, but it is not the end of the world.

This was published in the Binance Square, so it is a formal information. Here it is the text of it.
Binance Will Delist 7 Spot Trading Pairs and End Related Trading Bot Services
According to the announcement from Binance, the exchange will remove and cease trading on seven spot trading pairs as part of its periodic review of listed markets. The affected pairs are F/USDC, HIVE/USDC, ILV/USDC, LTC/BNB, NMR/USDC, STEEM/USDC and SUI/BNB. The delisting is scheduled for 2026-08-21 03:00 (UTC). Binance said the review process is intended to protect users and maintain a high-quality trading market, and that pairs may be removed for several factors, including poor liquidity and trading volume. The announcement also stated that the delisting of a spot trading pair does not affect the availability of the tokens on Binance Spot, and users may still trade the base and quote assets through other available trading pairs on the platform.
Even if this happens we still have some good options available when we need to exchange some Hive, not that now it is a good time for that. Now it is a time for accumulation and hold for long until the crypto market will come back in full swing.

We already experience a bump for Bitcoin today as it pushed the price above $70k and we saw a ripple of that also upon the Hive price with a 7% gains. That is good and it gives confidence that when the market will turn back, Hive will follow. But until that happens and probably it will be a long time, we should continue to be active on the blockchain and accumulate Hive as much as possible. This ecosystem keeps on building and it has strong and bigger projects than before, thus it is hard for me not to see it revived when the crypto market will unveil itself. That's it from my side, good and bad, but we should keep looking forward and keep on building. This is the only way!
That is bad !!
Bad indeed, but at least the HIVE/USDT still lives on BNB. But not on the CEX where maybe there was bigger visibility.
I think this is where the witness should actually step in. While it's not actually as bad, since a lot of people still prefer the hive/USDT pair. I think it's important to know that having that option is very much important and people want to have options for trading pairs
True, HIVE/USDT lives on BNB while the HIVE/USDC was on CEX. But even if in multiple hops, one could end up with the preferred stable nevertheless.
I like to know what the witnesses can say about it
This is concerning news. Binance delisting any trading pair for Hive is not ideal, especially for visibility and accessibility.
But from what I understand, it's only the HIVE/USDC pair being removed the HIVE/USDT pair is staying. That's a relief, but still a loss. USDC is a major stablecoin, and losing that pair reduces options for some traders.
The bigger picture is what you said Hive needs to stay visible on major exchanges. Losing a pair doesn't kill the project, but it does make it harder for new investors to find it. And in a bull run, every bit of visibility matters.
Do you think Hive will ever be listed on more exchanges, or is this the start of fewer listings?
No, I think it is only Binance putting to rest some pairs that maybe where not bringing enough volume or other facts. I am not worry yet about it.
HIVE USDT pair is used by more people so I think there is nothing to worry, isn't?
Well, in Europe USDT is not regulated and mostly USDC is used. But even so one can exchange on BNB chain in USDT and from there exchange further to USDC. Only that on the CEX itself, Europeans will not have a regulated pair to trade directly.
I am not good with Crypto related stuff. I have just one concern: what are the other options? Like how can I exchange? As, previously, I have only exchanged using Binance. Dah, I will have to learn the process again. Lol
Interesting update for HIVE holders and traders. Hopefully this is just a change in trading pairs and not a sign of anything bigger for HIVE. Letβs see how the market reacts. ππ
As I can hear , it's like there is still an option with HIVE/USDT. If that is okay to go with, then the tension is eased.

And that was my concern some weeks ago. It was to delist on 30th July but i think it extends till 21 August
Thanks for the heads up, I had missed it as I am not so into crypto news the past few months..
