Engaging college students to Hive ecosystem

As part of the initiative to take Hive to the general people, taking Hive to college students is a very important step. The main reason why we have to do this is because college students are the most energetic people who might have some dreams of achieving something in their lives. They are very fresh and can think about so many things. These days the level of exposure college students are getting is enormous and they would like to achive more during the initial days of their careers, unlike other individuals who have several years of experience in the industry.

I think it is important to bring young people to Hive because they come up with fresh thoughts and innovations. One thing that attracts me is that there are some young chaps that I have known and they always think differently. As they are not exposed to any of the known methods of problem-solving, they come up with innovative ways so that the regular methods are not a big deal anymore. Of course, experience is also important but if there is a mentor with enough experience, they can do wonders. There are a few advantages we get from bringing young people to this ecosystem.

Learning and earning

The hive ecosystem is very good for building anything on top of the Hive platform. Earlier it used to be just a blogging platform but with the help of some sidechain capabilities, Hive can also be used as a platform to build so many things. We have some support on the first layer but if anyone would like to create anything on the second layer, it would be a great solution.

Students might usually find this as a good learning opportunity. Blockchain technology even though existed for nearly a decade, there is not enough adoption everywhere. The best place to take it is the student population where they can explore this and build something nice. When students build projects, today blockchain is a cutting-edge technology and many final-year students are willing to do some projects on web3. I got the opportunity to interact with a few people and they are very much interested in exploring blockchain technology. Unfortunately, nobody knows about Hive but it is a good start to onboard people to the Hive ecosystem so that they can do some projects on Hive.

Apart from learning, there is also an earning opportunity we have in the Hive ecosystem. People who are good at writing articles or people who would like to play games on Hive can make use of this opportunity to explore and earn a decent amount of money from this. No other blockchain has a straightaway opportunity to earn money by spending time there.

Guest lectures

One of my friends was interested in going and talking to a few colleges in and around our City. I was also wondering if it would be good to accompany him to do some guest lectures on Hive. But then I thought it may not be very easy because to explain Hive, I have to start from fundamentals. I'm not sure how familiar the students are with blockchain technology. We might have to explain the basic concepts first and then talk about to Hive Ecosystem. I think when I joined, I had some similar questions too and I was wondering from where all the money was coming. Later I started to grasp all those concepts.

I think this action of yours is worth emulating. This brings growth to the ecosystem. Onboarding new users are important for a community to grow. However, there is no need for follow-up to see how they are doing on what to need to know. I onboarded a friend today and I explained how this ecosystem works. I noticed one thing which is Hive is very technical to operate particularly for someone who hasn't used crypto currency before. Posting can be a major impediment without a proper explanation of how to use the hive blog platforms.

I guess without explaining things to them, people easily get lost. Unfortunately for Hive there is a huge learning curve and someone joining and exploring will have no idea unless they are guided well.

Yes, you are right. Even when one is planning on bringing young people to Hive because these are the sets of people who are willing to learn about blockchain technology, even if they do not have the experience or knowledge, having someone as a mentor who would guide them is the best thing and it would also take a willing heart of the young people to fully learn and grasp what is being said.

Having a mentor is amazing because we don't have to travel in the tough track from scratch. There will be someone to guide us.

Exactly. One wouldn't be lost with a mentor by him or her side.

Strategically if we can help to make people to join more of hive, it will really be great as it will help things to work out well much more well

It is one of the recent technologies that hasn't got any exposure yet. It needs a lot more adoption.

I also invited my little brother who is a high school student to Hive a few days ago. He’d not been consistent but I’m sure that as time goes on, he will be consistent

I find the approach you have proposed in bringing Hive to university students really inspiring and valuable. So far, I haven't seen any project or community on Hive that has continuously focused on this specific work. The idea of involving young people with fresh and creative minds in the Hive ecosystem is brilliant, as they can bring new ideas and innovations to the table.

It is the duty of all of us that in the same way all the boys and girls studying in school and college should be told about this platform so that they can work here for some time and bear all their own expenses so that their parents can be supported. Don't worry.

It is very good that we ourselves individually spread the gospel of hive all around the world
