Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 46

It's Saturday again (already !) and time for my #SaturdaySavers update for the week.

How Did The Week Go ?

Amazingly, I somehow had another week where I managed to post something every day 😀 I have no idea how long I can keep this up - I take it a day at a time so as to avoid putting pressure on myself.

But consistent posting is continuing to pay dividends, and I earned 61.786HP. This brings the average I need to earn weekly between now and the end of the year to 29.128, which starts to feel achievable. A month ago I was so far behind my target I never thought I'd be able to get back on track !

With the incredible roller-coaster ride we've seen this week with the HIVE price, most of my HiveDex trades kicked in, and they bought me 32.5 HBD, on top of the 8.834 I earned. Unless I win the lottery and can miraculously afford 100-odd HBD, I've resigned myself to missing this target. But that's okay, it just feeds into the data for next year's.

The jump in SBI's isn't real, it's just that I'd not counted ones received for a few weeks and finally got around to checking the status.

While I probably won't hit my posting target for the year, it's definitely looking a lot better than it did a few weeks ago ! An interesting statistic seems to be that posts done and comments made appear to have an inversely proportional relationship. It makes me wonder if I'm spending too much time curating and not enough time posting, or perhaps that my posts are taking too long to write.

Although it's a purely ego-boosting statistic, it's nice that I've finally tipped over 69 reputation. It seems to have taken forever ! It would be wonderful to get to 70 by the end of the year, but I believe it works on a logarithmic scale, so I'm probably being a bit optimistic there 😁

On a topic not covered in my spreadsheet, it's BPUD next Wednesday, 20th November. BPUD is BBHO Power Up Day - the Outpost token the BBH Project by @bradleyarrow

The BBH Project also runs a Hive node, and is a witness vote I'm happy to do and to recommend to other people. If I had to pick just 3 Hive projects to support, they would be BBH, EDS and LEO.

So that was what my week looked like. I hope yours was as good and exciting !

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
