TON price rises significantly, Bitcoin price drops below $84,000

Bitcoin's price experienced a steady performance over the weekend, maintaining a range near $84,000, while most altcoins suffered minor losses, with the exception of Toncoin (TON), which received a positive boost following news about Telegram founder Pavel Durov.

Bitcoin had a volatile week that began with a $6,000 drop on Monday, pushing it to $80,000.

Despite attempting to maintain this level, it came under further pressure, leading to a four-month low below $77,000 on Tuesday.

However, buyers intervened, helping it gradually recover and return to $84,000 by Thursday.

Despite the positive CPI data, the currency remained largely unchanged over the weekend, currently trading around $84,000, with a market cap of just under $1.67 trillion and a market cap of nearly 59%.

The most notable event in the cryptocurrency community came from France, where French authorities granted a passport to Pavel Durov after his detention in August 2024, according to Telegram.

This development led to a surge in Toncoin by more than 20%, and despite some declines, it still recorded significant gains of over 15% in the last 24 hours.

The cryptocurrency MNT also gained 8%, and AVAX rose 3%, while most altcoins, such as XRP, DOGE, LTC, and ADA, recorded varying declines.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has decreased by $30 billion since its recent peak, now sitting below $2.80 trillion.

Toncoin is a project that has attracted a lot of interest in the last year. Today it is in 14th place in the Coinmarketcap ranking. I have never tried an application that runs on Toncoin.
