The Other Guys - Different Kind of Comedy

Listen, my friends, I was bored and decided to watch a light movie. I found a movie called The Other Guys, and I decided to try it. It's an action comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, who alone are guaranteed laughs.

When I first started the movie, I felt it would be normal, like any other comedy police movie, but no, the movie grabbed me from the first scene. It starts with a great action dialogue with The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson, but the shock was that they weren't the main characters, they were just an introduction to the story! I got into the mood and said: Yes, the movie is going to be crazy.

Will Ferrell plays the role of a poor officer, very peaceful, and always sitting in the office doing reports. Unlike Mark Wahlberg, who is enthusiastic and psychologically exhausted from wanting to prove himself. Circumstances forced the two of them to bring them together to investigate a case.

Honestly, the chemistry between them was awesome. Will Ferrell, his cold way of speaking, and the situations he put himself in, were really funny. And Mark Wahlberg, who is always snarky and nervous, played the opposite role very well. In every scene between them, I felt that they were coming out with their spontaneity, not just acting.

There were many scenes that made me stop and laugh out loud like when Mark discovered that his wife in the movie is Eva and she is a very beautiful woman and he can't believe how a guy like Will Ferrell could be married to her. Every time he sees her he keeps saying: "Is this really your wife?" Will Ferrell coldly says: "Yes, it's normal" and this topic kept repeating in a terribly comedic way.

Also, the movie is not just comedy, no, there is some nice action. Not as good as heavy action movies, but it is nice and serves the story. And then the movie has a sarcastic touch on traditional police movies, which tells you that not every officer has to be a superhero and fly off buildings, no, he can be an officer who loves paper and sitting in the office, and that's not a flaw.

The case they were investigating, honestly, wasn't complicated or anything, I mean it's just something that keeps the movie going. But I felt it was appropriate for the movie, because the focus was all on the relationship between the two, and the comedic situations that happen because of the difference in their personalities.

Let's come to the flaws, if we may say so. Maybe I felt that the movie was a bit slow in the middle, and they could have shortened a few scenes. Also, if you don't like comedy that has silly jokes or a bit of clowning, you might not like some of the situations. But I personally was happy.

This movie is the kind of movie that you watch when you want to disconnect your brain laugh a little enjoy, and that's it. It's not a heavy movie or a drama it's a light movie and the chemistry of the actors is what carries the movie and If you like movies like 21 Jump Street or you like comedy with simple action so you'll like this movie. Personally, I'm happy that I saw it, and I really laughed.
