It's been a while I actually posted here due to some circumstances but the good thing is that I'm writing today about a movie I just finished seeing titled "UNBREAK"
Please the above picture was gotten from Google, I couldn't see a link that would have indicated I took it there. I just took a screenshot and paste it here
ABOUT THE MOVIE
The movie is about a playboy who enjoys having flings with several women gets the tables turned on him when he gets rejected by the woman he loves. When he falls in love with the best friend of the same woman, an anonymous plot is arranged to terminate the growing intimacy.
You know most times some people do not really understand what the term review means, I'll briefly discuss that with us before I go straight to the main thing.
WHAT'S REVIEW?
Now review does not mean criticism or a process where you destroy something, it might be a book, a movie or whatever.
It doesn't mean that, rather it means appreciating the work and looking at the weaknesses and strength of a book or movie.
Moreso, It has to do with synopsis; a summary of what a book and movie is all about.
Review has to do with analysing the words in a book or movie, are they mono-syllabic or poly-syllabic words? Is the diction simple or otherwise? Are the words compound, simple or complex? Etc..........
In the movie "UNRAVEL",it tells and teaches alot about life and relationship. It's a Nigerian movie and it has few characters I usually admire and love. Below are the characters in the play;
The movie is an eye-catch and very interesting with lots of lessons. The producer and director uses simple tenses for easy understanding. It's a Nollywood film produced 2 years ago with the duration 02:26:54
Goldie and Vanessa are two best friends who have been together since childhood and have worked hard to live the beautiful life they desired.
They had everything they needed, houses, cars, clothes, shoes, jewelries, name it without a Man on their side. They vowed to have nothing doing with a man since the day their mothers and they themselves were abused, raped maltreated and beaten by their father and uncles.
That very act made them paint men black and decided to stay on their own without a Man. They had money and could take care of themselves singlehandedly, they usually go to clubs together, drink, party and get strafed by any man they liked.
They did that for some number of years until they met a man that was also living such lives in the past and really wanted to settle down with them.
That man happened to be Derick. He made his intentions known towards Goldie at first since he first set his eyes on her but Goldie bluntly refused to give in.
Vanessa her friend talked to him and advised him to go look for another girl that Goldie won't accept him. When Derick heard all that from Vanessa and the reason why they have been behaving in such way towards men he decided to marry Vanessa.
After much pleading, she agreed and they both got married. A guy at Vanessa's office who had been harassing her since the first day she started work kept doing so even when Vanessa was married.
So one day, Derick caught him hugging his wife Vanessa and was so angry that she will yield into sleeping with the guy like she used to in the past.
They got into an argument and Derick beat her up. Things got worse in their first month of marriage and she Vanessa thought of divorcing Derick.
At this point, Derick's mechanic had plotted a trap by sending random women to go lie that Derick got them pregnant so Vanessa can easily believe and divorce him due to the things he had been doing in the past just for her to run into his arms like she has ever wanted.
All her efforts proved abortive, rather that made Vanessa love Derick so much. It wasn't long, everything was unfolded and Derick apologized and settled their differences with Vanessa.
Goldie in the other hand found true love again and they lived ever happily after.
Few lessons from that story is:
