𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑰𝒏 "𝑨 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒀𝒐𝒖" Series Review

Like many other hyped Korean drama series, this series was recommended to me for all the reasons I can't give now but I liked the recommendation because of the lead character in it... Ahn Hyo-seop, a character in the popular rom-com kdrama "Business Proposal", one of my favourite that I could see over and over without getting tired of it.

You can imagine how I hurried to start this series "A Time Called You" immediately I got the recommendation. It started well and ended well, I don't regret spending my time to see it and it had just 12 episodes.

"A Time Called You" is a time travel based romance series with a bit of comedy. Surprisingly, I didn't feel bad about the little comedy in it as the storyline made sure to fill in instead of comedy. It's a well thought out series if you ask me, considering the many twists and shocking scenes given until very end.

Here is a bit of the storyline...

A Time Called You is about a young working class woman in 2022 grieving over her dead boyfriend who time travel inexplicably to 1998 where she meets a guy who looks so much like her dead boyfriend. It also shows three friends who seem to have things hidden among themselves as they try to unravel the mystery about the time travel story after many doubts.

There were some comedy that made the series less too serious for viewers but there were also too many twists to keep viewers thinking than laughing at jokes. I had more smiles to the romantic scenes than laughs to their touch of comedy.

The lead characters did a lot to make this series a success considering how they change their character from time to time to fit into the storyline. Ahn Hyo-seop even had to star in one of the scenes as a gay 😅 it was so shocking, talk about a plot twist. It even got more shocking to see Rowoon feature in the scene as another gay who likes our main character.

Even though the scenes were brief, it left some impressions and sweet feelings for viewers lol. The character switching, the going back and forth in the series, all that got me curious and almost unsettled until the end of the series.

The cinematography of the series is so on point especially during the time travel scenes, I also love the featured music they play whenever time travel is about to happen. I saw a series some years back and the music was covered in it, a really cool song I plan to have downloaded for more listening ins.
