I took another break from not just Korean series but also from actual humans acting, I decided to binge-watch two animated movies. I've been quietly waiting for the sequel of "Zootopia" since I heard of it but somehow, it took this long to watch it. I guess I was waiting to take my time.
There's this feeling I get when I'm waiting for a sequel that I know won't fall below my expectations. Of course, it doesn't always turn out that way but a lot of the time, I can't help it and that's me with "Zootopia 2". And then, there's "Luck", a movie I didn't plan to watch. I stumbled on a short clip of the movie and decided to see it.
Back To Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde.

Zootopia (2016) wasn’t just funny animals in a city. It was well packed with lessons, twists and emotional moments. So when I learnt of a sequel, I knew it was definitely going to be one I didn't think I needed. If I'm being honest, my excitement for the Zootopia sequel isn’t really about the movie itself, it’s about what the first left behind.
The memories of the characters that lived rent free in my head especially with the hero "carrot pen" in the first and Nick's use of it in the sequel, repeating the once "emotional" sentence "I am just a dumb bunny" lol. I don't have much to say about the sequel but I really love the consistency.
"Judy Hopps" still being the small bunny who is relentlessly optimistic about her size, not perfect especially in this sequel but ever persistent as expected. In this story, Judy learnt more about her new partner, Nick and grew. Her best side in this sequel has got to be that she believes that goodness can exist even inside a broken system.
"Nick Wilde" still being the most sarcastic sly fox I've heard of in a movie. I could not believe he called for a car service of the "Slug" banker from the first story lol. But this time, I could totally tell his humor carried a hint of pain, and that actually made his growth feel real after his deep heart-to-heart conversation with his partner, Judy Hopps.
I especially love the humor consistency, visual jokes you'd hate to blink so you don't miss any. And I did notice how the jokes in this story told more after the laugh. The wait was worth it. 9/10.
How Unlucky Can One Be?

Meet Sam Greenfield, meet unluckiness! I remember I saw a comment on the short clip of this movie I saw that read "If unluckiness was a person, it's Sam" and I totally agree after seeing the movie. She was unlucky in a way that felt personal. Missed opportunities, broken routines, quiet disappointment. It made her quite relatable.
Her first day living alone was the perfect definition of not being lucky, it was so funny watching everyday objects betraying Sam at the worst times. The movie actually made me realize how lucky I am to use my everyday objects just quite fine, such unluckiness can't be real, right?
The funniest part of the story is where Sam discovers a "Land of Luck" through a cat. The whole idea of the land of luck was so absurd but very interesting to see. It was my funny part because even though it was called a land of luck, the chaos there was nothing of much difference to the real world. Think luck, think harmony right?
My favourite character has to be "Bob the cat" who gave a twist I didn't expect but made a lot of sense toward the end of the story. I love his confident, sarcastic and secretly kind interactions with Sam. While Luck has an absurd and funny story, it also reminds me that good and bad fortune are all part of being humans. 7.5/10.
