𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 & 𝑬𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 - "Heartbeat" Review

When I say crazy, I mean it. I literally couldn't stop laughing until the end of this series. Where I'd say I stopped laughing was when the emotional aspect overtook the whole scene vibe but even at that, I was smiling trying to imagine the next funny scene to play out.

This kdrama may seem like the regular series with romance storyline but the difference with this one is what makes it stand out for me as I watch till the end.

A vampire turned semi human, a very money minded woman, a human who turns into a cat anytime, a woman who tries to relive her past life for love, and more vampires... Trust me when I say these characters in the series are all you need for a perfect show without any cringe feeling but hilarious memories.

"Heartbeat" is a 16-episodes Korean series released in this year, June. It is also called "My Heartbeat Is Beating". A series that stars one of the popular Korean actor, Taecyeon as Seon Woo-hyeol. He is known to be an awesome character in series like Bring It On Ghost, Vincenzo and Blind which I've seen and agree that he is a unique actor.

So if you've not seen any of them, do check them out and I'll highly recommend you start with Vincenzo hehe.

Back to this series, here is how the funny storyline goes...

A vampire who has been living for years, lost his first love and they both promised to meet again but as both humans. For love and to get his heart beating, the vampire embarks on a search to become human until a human who turns into cat anytime meets him and gave him a solution to becoming human. He was to sleep in a special coffin for a century (100 years) and he will wake up to become human.

The shocking and funny aspect of this series started from when a human girl who has lost her only apartment and have money problems moves into the mansion where the vampire sleeps. She opens the coffin just a day to complete his 100 years in becoming human, you can imagine how frustrated he was and what could have played out after.

Everything led to the human girl living in the mansion with the vampire and they grew fond of each other slowly creating very funny scenes. It's even more funnier that centuries old vampire keeps speaking and acting like in those days making others wonder why he is like that in a present age.

There are also the supporting characters who made the series even more hilarious and I mean, the lead guy's vampire friends 😂 I think they are my favourite from all the supporting characters.
