Some weeks ago, the live action of the powerful anime series "One Piece" was on Netflix and I was just so skeptical seeing it even though I keep getting the notification from Netflix.

I finally decided to see it last week and I am so angry at myself for not seeing it sooner. Why did I have to wait this long to see such an interesting and captivating movie?🤔... Anyway like they say, it's better late than never. So, here is my honest review of the live action series 'One Piece'.
I feel One Piece is a masterpiece since it took me on a thrilling voyage across the seas in search of the pirate king's lost treasure. Most movies don't wow me that much but this did.
Monkey D. luffy, a determined young pirate with a crew of memorable characters was at the heart of the story. He just couldn't stop telling everyone who cared to know that he is a pirate and will soon be the king of all pirates once he finds the one piece. He was just so concerned about finding the one piece, becoming the king of pirates and having a bounty on his head. But why would someone want a bounty on their head 🤕? You need to see how excited he was when he finally got a bounty on his head and surprisingly a lot of people were happy to know that he finally became a wanted pirate. Like seriously??

Everyone definitely will have their favourite character and surprisingly, mine isn't Luffy but Nami. She literally sacrificed a good part of her life to save her village. I feel that's a great sacrifice most people can't make. She gave up her life and family just to save them without their knowledge about this and this made them (especially her sister) hate her so much. I was happy to see that even though she couldn't buy her village back, she fought for it with the help of her crew members and won.

The first thing that caught my attention in this series is the rich and immersive world that was crafted and created in the series. Trust me, the scenery created here was top notch. The grand line, the red line, the devil fruit that made Luffy a rubberman, and even the various islands were all designed meticulously and all these created an imaginative setting for the story.
Another thing I loved about this series is the major characters in the series. These characters went through significant growth throughout their journey in the series. Is it Luffy's determination that was unwavering, or Zoro's pursuit of becoming the world's greatest swordsman (pursuit that almost killed him), or Nami's quest for map making? Honestly, each of these character's backstory and dreams added lots of creativity to the story.
I loved the fact that the series emphasized on the importance of loyalty, friendship, and the pursuit of one's dreams. I loved the fact that it showed us how a group of misfits came together to become an unbreakable crew who were willing to sacrifice everything for each other.
Again, there were scenes that made me laugh out loud and there were scenes that made me cry (yes I am that emotional and I still cry when watching emotional movies, so don't be surprise). I loved the fact that this series skillfully blends humor and emotion. Like I can be laughing out so loud just this minute and then reaching for tissues in the next. Funny enough, I prefer it that way. I feel the humor in the series is right on point because overall, it balanced the darker moments in the story.
Without mincing words, I feel this series is a powerful series that has captured the heart of many people all over the world with its compelling and lovable characters, rich and immersive world created, and themes of adventure. Trust me when I tell you that this series is a series you will never regret watching since it offers an unforgettable adventure.
