Film Review of They Will Kill You (2026)

They Will Kill You (2026) is another horror movie that combines outrageous violence, action and dark comedy. The movie is about a girl named Asia, She just got out of jail and takes a job inside an rich condominium known as The Virgil. It looked normal at first but as a fan of these types of movies (Baby Sitter and Ready or Not), the movie quickly turns into a fight for survival. Asia finds out about the building's scary secret: its wealthy residents are members of a cult who sacrifice anyone to make them immortal. Her job is not by accident, Asia is looking for her sister who is trapped in the building. She was forced to battle through waves of cultists in a rescue mission.

The movie is action packed and did not do much build up. It immediately had brutal fights and over the top kills. The setting of a rich apartment building reminded me of Nakatomi Plaza in Die Hard. The movie felt like a live action video game where each floor presents a deadlier challenge than the last. I like that the supporting cast included Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy). I always like to see the Harry Potter kids in movies. If you watched Ready or Not and Baby Sitter, you will feel at home with this movie. Even though the movie looks unoriginal and has a shallow story, I still liked it because of the genre. Personally, I enjoyed the movie for what it is. I appreciated its horror, comedy and violence even though I've seen it before it previous movies I reviewed.

They Will Kill You is an entertaining horror action movie that prioritizes excitement over complex story line. It succeeds as a bloody, fast paced movie despite the shallow and unoriginal plot. If you enjoyed Baby Sitter and Ready or Not, this is definitely worth watching.
