Movie Review: They Will Kill You

Today I took my time to read the first chapter of "The Way Of The Superior Man", and afterwards I decided to watch this movies as it has been on my Laptop for a week now.
They Will Kill You I was expecting a simple horror movie, but what I got was a mix of horror, action, dark comedy, and pure chaos. It is one of those films that keeps getting crazier as it moves forward, and you cannot stop because you want to see what is gonna happen next.

The story follows Asia, a woman trying to rebuild her life after prison.My attention was captured when I saw the first scene of a loving sister trying to save her blood younger sister from an abusve father.She did go to prison for attempted murder. She takes a housekeeping job in a luxury apartment building, only to discover that something is terribly wrong with the people living there even at the very first neight, they did not even give her a break. What starts as a normal job quickly turns into a fight for survival.

One thing I enjoyed was how unpredictable the movie was . Every time I thought I knew where the story was heading, it took another turn, every scene would want you to want to see what is next. The building itself almost feels like a character because it hides so many secrets. There is plenty of violence and gore, so this is definitely not a movie for viewers who prefer mild horror. A view's discretion should be advised.

Zazie Beetz did a great job carrying the film. Her character felt tough without being unrealistic, and she gave the movie a strong center even when things became completely wild. The action scenes were energetic and sometimes over-the-top, but they were entertaining enough to keep me watching from start to finish.

That said, the movie is not perfect. Some parts feel borrowed from other horror-action films, and a few jokes did not land for me. The story also focuses more on action than on developing its characters.

Overall, "They Will Kill You" is a fun and fast-paced movie that does not take itself too seriously. If you enjoy horror mixed with action, strange cults, and plenty of bloody mayhem , and additionally some touch of humor, this is worth checking out.
