I'm probably late to the party but I finally got around watching gangs of London and I must say, it's the first time I've watched a hyped series that I genuinely feel like I missed out.
If you're s fan of extreme violence, gangs, crime and mysterious overlords running the scene in the background then you're in for a a ride. This series is packed with all sorts of action to keep your engine running.
It's one of those series where there's no villain or good guy. It's a warped and violent portrayal of reality, filled with betrayal, family feuds and multiple layers of crisis that's sure to keep you hooked.
I cannot remember the last time I was hooked to a series the way I've been with this one.
The first season follows the lives of e everyone affiliated with the Wallace family. The society of gangsters is plunged into chaos when Finn Wallace is mysteriously killed by a random kid from a rival gang.
Due to the death of Finn, suspicion brews amongst various gangs on who murdered him. However, as the plot unfolds, it turns out that there were even bigger players involved and Finn has gone against the grain.
Finn's son, Sean became the head of the Wallace organization but the protagonist of the show turned out to be Elliot. Seemingly a lowly gangsta working his way up the ranks, he evolves into a central part of the plot.
The show features everything that you'd expect from a crime series. Violence, betrayals, rivalries and unexpected alliances, featuring exceptional performances and very convincing acting.
The first season is a solid 4/5 and the only issue I could point out is that while they had a star studded british cast, they might have invested a bit more on CGI.
Alright i think i will plunge into this one
