OUR SUNDAY TRADITION: CHURCH, LUNCH, AND PLAY AT TOM’S WORLD

Hello mommy’s and daddy’s,

Sundays are the most special days for me because they are all about family, right?. It is the only day when we can set aside our busy schedules and enjoy each other’s company. From the moment I wake up, I feel excited knowing that the whole day will be filled with love, laughter, and memories.

We always start our Sunday by attending mass together. Walking into the church, I feel a deep sense of peace as the sound of hymns fills the air. This Sunday was even more memorable because during the mass, the priest gave a special blessing to all those celebrating their birthdays in July. My son, whose birthday is this month, bravely walked nearer to the altar to receive the blessing. I watched him quietly, my heart swelling with pride and joy as the priest placed his hand on his head and said a prayer.

After mass, we headed to the mall for lunch. The aroma of food and the lively crowd made the place feel alive. We chose a cozy spot where we enjoyed our favorite meals—spaghetti, fried chicken, kare-kare and ice-cold drinks. Around the table, we talked, laughed, and shared stories. These simple conversations felt magical because they strengthened our bond as a family.

Then came the part my children loved the most: playtime at Tom’s World. Their eyes sparkled with excitement as they rushed to the colorful arcade games. Their laughter echoed as they won tickets and rode the kiddie rides. Even we parents joined in, letting go of worries and becoming kids again for a while.

As the day ended, we went home tired but happy. Sundays like this remind me that family is life’s greatest blessing.
