Hello everyone, my dear parents and fellow Hivers! I hope you're all having a wonderful day. Today, I want to share a heartwarming experience that made me smile as a mother. Our daycare celebrated Nutrition Day, and it turned out to be a memorable event for both the parents and the children.

As parents, we were asked to bring vegetables or fruits for the celebration. We all knew that each family could only bring what they had, and that's okay because every little contribution mattered. Since we have a small farm, some parents were expecting us to bring fresh vegetables, and I was happy to share a few of our harvests.

I brought fresh potatoes, carrots, Chinese pechay, and some ripe passion fruits from our farm. These were later used for our chopsuey recipe and for making a refreshing passion fruit juice. Looking at the table full with vegetables and fruits brought by every parent made me realize how beautiful it is when everyone shares what they have.

Before we started preparing the food, we gathered the children for a picture-taking session. Seeing all of them smiling happily while holding vegetables was such a precious moment. As a mom, my heart was full of joy because these simple activities help children appreciate healthy food in a fun way.

After the photo session, all of us parents worked together in preparing the snacks. I enjoyed helping because everyone was cheerful and willing to lend a hand. We cooked fresh potato fries using real potatoes instead of frozen ones, and we also made fresh passion fruit juice from the fruits we harvested. It was simple, healthy, and made with love.

The happiest part of the day was watching the children enjoy every bite and every sip. I honestly didn't expect them to love the fresh potato fries and passion fruit juice so much, but they did! Seeing them happily eating vegetables and drinking natural fruit juice reminded me that healthy food doesn't have to be boring. It can be colorful, delicious, and enjoyable for kids.

As a mother, I believe Nutrition Day is more than just a school activity. It teaches our children the importance of eating nutritious food while they are still young. It also reminds us parents that we have a big role in introducing healthy eating habits at home.

I would like to thank our daycare teacher for organizing this wonderful celebration and to all the parents who gave their time and shared their harvests. It was a beautiful day filled with teamwork, learning, and healthy food.

Thank you so much for reading my story. This is my owned picture and edited in Canva. I hope this simple experience inspires more parents to encourage their children to eat more vegetables and fruits. After all, the best gift we can give our kids is a healthy body and good eating habits that will stay with them as they grow.

Have a nice day!💛
