A night before the event, my daughter's daycare teacher sent me a message reminding parents about a meeting and motherhood seminar at the daycare center scheduled for 8:00 AM. My four-year-old daughter was very excited, so we woke up early, got ready, and arrived at the school around 8:15 AM.

When we got there, however, there were still very few people around. Since we had some time to wait, I spent the morning playing with my daughter. We enjoyed our little bonding moment while waiting for the other parents and organizers to arrive. Around 9:00 AM, more parents, teachers, and barangay officials started coming in. I couldn't help but laugh and think, "This is truly the Filipino spirit!" The meeting was scheduled for 8:00 AM, but most people arrived an hour later.

Unfortunately, the program did not officially begin until around 10:00 AM. By then, my daughter was already tired from waiting. She still had a little energy left when the program started, but I knew she was getting restless. Since only a few parents had arrived, I decided to call my husband and ask him to pick her up and bring her home. Thankfully, he was available to help.
Once my daughter was home, I was able to focus on the seminar. The first topic was time management, especially for mothers. The speaker emphasized the importance of using our time efficiently and effectively by listing down our daily tasks and priorities. During one activity, I was chosen to share my thoughts with the group. It reminded me how demanding motherhood can be. Being a mother is a full-time responsibility with no day off, but it is also one of the most precious and rewarding jobs in the world.

The next topic discussed habits that consume too much of our time. When it was my turn to speak, I shared that sometimes we become too focused on work and earning income. While financial stability is important, we must also remember to spend quality time with our families. Our children grow up quickly, and family bonding should never be neglected.

The final topic was about finances. I realized that every family has different circumstances. Some families earn modest incomes but are able to save and invest wisely. Others may earn more but also have greater expenses. There is no single formula for success because every family's situation is unique. The more important we are striving and do what we can to give what are the needs of our family.

Overall, the seminar gave me valuable insights about motherhood, time management, and family priorities. It was a beautiful experience that reminded me to value both my responsibilities and the precious moments I share with my family. Sometimes I forgot what is my purpose and this is a best moment because it refreshes my point view in life.

It’s natural to sometimes lose sight of purpose in the busyness of daily life, and moments like these help realign priorities and remind us of what truly matters.
