She Made Me a Mother: Muna at 10
This is TEN! Where will I start from? Which of them will I write about, and which will I leave behind? It has been an endless sparkle of emotions since my daughter Muna came into my life.
Her birth was my first taste of motherhood. 11 hours in the labor room wasn't a play. The pain was immense, but when she finally came, they all disappeared into thin air.
You fed from my breast, you learned how to sit down and crawl, and you finally started walking. I was your tooth fairy who dropped money under your pillow in exchange for your first tooth, hehehe.
Look at you now, Muna, 10 years strong! Somebody please pinch me! It looks so surreal, yet it's real.I now have a teenage daughter. It's been a wonderful experience being your mother, and I cherish every minute we spend together.
One thing everyone knows Muna for is her impeccable character. Her good conduct and personality are humbling. That is what all my friends kept writing about today. How did you do it? they asked!.. Even in her school, as I visited to drop off a birthday gift for her class, her teacher and her classmates said lots of good things, especially about how kind my daughter is to everyone around her. It left me quite emotional.
Today is not just about Muna, my daughter. It’s my celebration too. 10 years into motherhood. Motherhood is a never-ending experience. Even when your children are gradually becoming adults, they will always be our baby. I am aware of the task ahead even as my daughter continues to grow, but I am all ready to face it and strive to nurture a responsible daughter.
The greatest accomplishment of my life is that of being a mother.

This is sweet and also encouraging, my son too will be one year old in less than 20 minutes. Here I am sitting and scrolling through my gallery watching pictures and videos of him, I feel so emotional it's been a bumpy ride but his smiles are my strength.
