Celebrate Every Woman And Mother - WCW

The journey of being a woman or a mother is not a joke and that is why every responsible woman who is privileged to be a mother directly or indirectly should be acknowledged and celebrated.

It all starts with getting conceived and the morning sicknesses starts. At times I wonder how it do happen because sometimes to some of them, nothing really happens when they don't know but as soon as they know (I'm using "they and them" because I'm not yet a mother but I have people close) they began to either vomit, unable to eat or any other sickness and this starts becoming unbearable for them. Luckily if they have good people around them like the husband or family members, the burden and stress of this early stage of the pregnancy becomes bearable.

Gradually, the bumps starts to show and there's a change in the body or skin of the woman. A woman who initially doesn't eat much starts to eat so much while at times some that tends to love eating before pregnancy came in,tends to throw up at the slightest smell of food.

When you're around one of them at this stage, you definitely will pity a woman if you're not a female gender and if you're one but not yet a mother then you would be scared to know that this might be what you would go through when it's time.

Fast forward to when the pregnancy is like 6,7,8months and the baby gets to turn and move around. I get so excited whenever I get to see this moves whenever someone close to me is pregnant and only those that have actually witness this can know the length at which they were happy and felt when accidentally seeing the shape of the baby's foot, fist or head push out the stomach of the morher. It's a joy that can't be withheld if you've experienced it before.

Now finally to the day of delivery, where they get to feel unbearable pains, breaking of water or seeing a substance like mucus 🤢 (Contractions).... It's really a great day in every woman's life because at that point in time, they are half way on earth and half way heaven until the voice of the baby is heard crying and both are out of the labour room.
Now, the joy of seeing a new born baby fills everywhere, everyone rejoices but only the mother went through it ALL even in the face of death.

The most funny thing is, after giving birth they forget the pain and starts the journey to making another baby again after a few years. Isn't that so great? Followed by the attention the baby needs both in the day and in the night, even when others could sleep and deal with the noise from the baby, she won't be able to sleep hearing the cries of her baby but to attend to him/her.
Some even experiences postpartum depression which leads to instability for some women especially if they're unable to receive help on time from loved ones.

Recently, I got to realized that when a newborn is being breastfed, the whole part of the mother is involved especially her head/brain. I was almost traumatized seeing that happen as the baby was trying so hard to feed from the breast which wasn't giving forth enough milk and the mother was holding her head in pain like the baby was feeding from the head. That was so hard to watch.

With no doubts, women are meant to be celebrated everyday and not being in competition with the number of times father's day is done. No one disputes the fact that men are great and in their roles in the family but let's celebrate the women for the motherhood journey even if not for any other thing.

And before I round up, baby bump does not makes a woman a mother, but you're a mother for every child you hold hand in hand to raise in becoming great or contribute to their success and growth.
All thanks to the new initiatives of surrogacy, IVF that has ensured reduction in the rate of not having a child.
