After a long time, I have visited downtown Beijing and even after a couple of holidays this winter. Also, this was my first visit during this freezing winter, and I enjoyed a gentle walk in the city area that allowed me to explore the amazing winter activities of the Beijing residents.
The weekend I spent in downtown was not a great day with clear sky, as it was a cloudy day, so everything seemed to be very faded away with the degraded air quality and cloudy sky without the brightness of the sun. I had my walk near the Yangshan River, which is located near the Olympic village, and there is a large underground market in the whole riverside area.
This area is the busiest tourist zone of Beijing City, especially for those who love exploring the city vibes with the most spacious walking way toward the Olympic Forest Park in the northern section, and there are many architectural attractions like the Nest Indoor Stadium and many others in the southern section, where the core city center starts.

The first exciting thing about this freezing winter is the winter activities on the frozen river, which are open for ice biking. Many people, especially children, enjoy these activities on the riverbed, which are very festive in this area. There are very few rivers that can be found for such activities, so the Yangshan River becomes a hub for various winter activities.
I have not entered for any activities in this area, but I have enjoyed watching their enjoyment on the frozen riverbeds, and they were enjoying their weekend there. But the number of people usually decreased due to the extreme cold during the months of December and January. Maybe from February, the number of visitors will increase in this area.

I saw less beautiful views there with the emptiness of the nature in this winter time in a different angle but the walking in this festive area was truely exciting and I love such walking and enjoying the activities there. I had gone in the downton for some other stuffs but the area was quite lively durng the dead winter that made me happy walking in that area.

I hope you like my photos of the winter vibes in downtown Beijing with the winter activities of the residents on the frozen Yangshan River. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments, and I will do my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wishing you a good day!
I took all the photos, and these are my own property.

Just wanted to ask what the favorit winter sport in China?
I am not sure but according to my experience, skiing is very popular than skating or other activities I have explored.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
I would guess that people born in the tropics would enjoy skiing and skating the most in the cold winter!
