Hiking Towards Mountains Deeper Peaks [ENG][BN]

After a break of several days, I have started writing on 'Hive Blog' again. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the Football World Cup. I have also been trying to watch my favorite matches regularly, which meant I spent less time on Hive Blog during my leisure hours. However, today—after quite some time—I am sharing a travel and exploration-focused blog post with you.

This is a mountain valley known as Suanzaoyugou Park. It is located in the Shunyi District of Beijing Municipality, about 35 kilometers away from my institute. The most surprising part is that I cycled there myself! Cycling such a long distance and then hiking in the mountains made this trip far more strenuous and exhausting than any of my previous excursions. Since it is a valley, after traveling a short distance, I found myself reaching the mountain peaks. Beautiful trekking paths have been laid out to connect one peak to another. It is a fantastic and enjoyable spot for mountain hiking. Another appealing feature is that there is no admission fee; it is completely open to everyone.

As usual, I set out on my bicycle around 9 or 10 AM on Sunday. My initial plan was to visit a park featuring bodies of water—something akin to a 'Wetland Park.' However, upon arrival, I found the entire park submerged in water. I had to look for a new destination immediately, and that is how I discovered Suanzaoyugou Park.

To reach Suanzaoyugou Park, I had to cycle an additional 6 kilometers, crossing from the Miyun District into the Shunyi District. It was a bright, sunny day, with temperatures hovering between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius. I arrived near the park's main gate shortly after noon and began walking along the valley. At first, I saw only young children frolicking and having fun in the shallow waters of the valley. While the water reached waist-depth in some spots, it grew shallower as I ventured further in. Eventually, the water level dropped from knee-deep to ankle-deep before disappearing entirely, leaving behind only pebbles and the dense forest flanking the path.

After hiking along that trail for about two hours, I reached the very summit of the mountain. The breathtaking beauty of the surroundings left me spellbound. All the fatigue from the arduous two-hour climb vanished in an instant once I beheld the view. Since it was early summer, the surrounding vegetation was lush and green, and the fresh, crisp air was invigorating. The brilliant sunshine and clear blue sky elevated the natural scenery to a whole new level that day.

Upon reaching the summit, I was surprised to find two separate paths branching off to my right and left, leading to even higher peaks. The entire route was visible from that vantage point. However, feeling utterly exhausted, I decided against attempting the climb to the final peak, as the path leading there was steep and treacherous. Instead, I simply savored the magnificent scenery from that height and spent about four hours wandering around the nearby peaks.
