A Visit to the Peaceful Qihe River Valley in Huairou, Beijing

Hello, my dear Hive friends.

Anywhere you go to explore natural beauty, a small river can extend the experience by enhancing that natural spot's beauty level. As I have shared in my previous posts, Beijing is a very large city surrounded by mountains, woods, and many water basins that look like lakes. This makes it a great place to live if you like to explore nature, like I do. As long as I am living here, I've explored a lot of different places, and I still do that whenever I have time.

The Qihe River Valley in Huairou is a peaceful place for nature lovers to get away from the busy city of Beijing. There, the noise and chaos of the city is decreased in this part of the city as Huairou is very far from the city center. The first thing you will observe here is the sound of water slowly running over stones on the drying river basin. Then the area will give you the laughter of kids catching fish with tiny nets, and the happiness of families enjoying the simple pleasures of nature filling the surrounding air with an amazing vibes of life.

As you get closer to the valley, the first thing that hits you is the clear, sparkling water that flows through a narrow, rough riverbank with thousands of stones. Though the river isn't very deep, what it lacks in depth it makes up for in beauty. There are stones of all sizes and shapes in the riverbed. Some are smooth and round from years of wear and tear, while others are rough and sharp, giving the scene more depth. The weak water runs over and around these rocks, making a pleasant sound as it goes downriver.

When I went there, the valley was full of life from all ages of people. The banks of the river were full of families with fishing rods ready to try their luck at getting fish. Though there are less fish than the number of fishermen what I though after some observation. But I saw a girl was successful to catch a tiny fish.

I have also seen some kids were catching fish with a kind of smaller fishing net which are with a long stick. They laughed as they dipped their small hand nets into the cool water and ran between the rocks in search of small fish running between the rocks.

The sound of the water running over the rocks makes for a peaceful atmosphere as you walk along the river. That kind of nature music calms the spirit and brings you closer to the earth. When you get away from the chaos of the city, this air feels like a breath of fresh air. The Qihe River Valley is a great place to relax in your leisure holidays. You can sit on one of the bigger rocks, step your toes into the cool water, or just take in the peaceful scenery.

With its natural beauty, the sound of water, and family-friendly activities, the valley is a lovely place to relax that anyone can enjoy, whether they are travelling alone or with their family. Take the time to see this secret gem on your next trip to Beijing. Bring a lunch and a fishing rod to enjoy a full day.

The surrounding mountains are completely stony. The mountain ranges was not so deep and it makes the river move so slowly no like the usual stream. Mountain streams flow into the valley which is named as the Qihe River from the mountains ranges here taking with them the cool, clean water that keeps the valley alive. The clear stream running down the hills, through the rocks, and into the valley below is a sight to watch.

It was great to get away for the day in the Qihe River valley. The fun vibe, the calm river, and the link to nature were a nice reminder of how beautiful the world is that needs you to go outside for exploring it.

I came back with a great memory of the day with such amazing beauty of the valley. Though I haven't gone so far into the valley but I will come back again with more time to explore into the deeper section of the valley. The alongside road is also very beautiful that will give you a great ride in the nature in this northern region of the Beijing Municipal.
