Oh Siquijor, you've enchanted me!
My husband and I decided to go for another JUNK (Just Us, No Kids) getaway. This time, we decided to set foot on the mystical island of Siquijor.
Whenever in Siquijor, people wouldnβt miss a chance to visit the famous Salagdoong Beach Resort and so this is pinned in our to-visit list!
As we enter the resort, we were welcomed by tall trees offering shade and aesthetic. The pop-up of colors from it seemed a warm welcome to us.
Salagdoong Beach Resort is renowned for its limestone cliff adventure. This coastal landscape offers an adrenaline-pumping activity to thrill seekers such as cliff diving.
My husband, whoβs an adrenaline junkie, enjoyed much his cliff diving experience. The diving board is 20 to 35 feet high in the clear blue waters. I didnβt try the cliff diving as I am not into this kind of adventure.
For visitors who want a laid-back experience (thatβs me!), there are picnic huts, shaded cabanas, and lounge areas where you can simply enjoy the calm view of the ocean. This is where I just waited for my husband. Also, I saw a few people who enjoyed snorkeling in the calm, shallow waters.
If you get hungry, you can just order from their restaurant. We didnβt get a chance to order food since we ate somewhere before going here. They donβt have any restrictions as well if you want to bring your own food. In fact, you can have a barbecue session inside as they have grilling stations too.
For visitors who want to stay longer, they have a simple air-conditioned hotel room for an overnight stay.
While I waited for my husband to finish his diving business and get dry, I strolled and silently watched the sun that was about to set.
Iβm glad that it wasn't a holiday when we visited Salagdoong Beach. This paved the way for us to enjoy the two sides of the place, the side that offers thrill and the side that offers serenity.

@sydmae ohhhh Siquijor. Now the island has lots of tourist. Enchanting Island. If they hear the place SIQUIJOR they think first of witchcrafts and voodoo doll. But I want to visit that Island. We just watching with my husband that Island earlier. Paradise for us. And were stuck here in a cold environment πππ Manifesting to visit Siquijor Island πππ
Ohhh. You better visit here during the off-peak season. You and your hubz will enjoy it more if there will be less crowd. Haha. Anyway, crossing fingers that you guys can make it here this year.
For sure we will enjoy it together with our kids. Have a nice day. βΊοΈ
