A Short Trip to Ho Chih Minh City - My First Hive Post

Greeting to all!

This is my very 1st post in the community and my 1st post on Hive, just returned from a short trip from Ho Chi Minh City and thought it would be a great idea to do some sharing!

Since it's approaching the end of 2024 really soon and when you have leave to clear. On the trigger of a message from a buddy who likewise is clearing leave, our round trip flight and hotel is booked. Without itinerary that is. We are now firm believers of "Your are clearing leave when you are out of the country without your laptop", since the COVID-19 pandemic have unleashed the power of remote work, comes with it is the fact that you can address work related issue in a matter of minutes. thus only when you are really away from home and office without access to work system, it's a true holiday.

I would believe many of us would definitely have been to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), I would just post some interesting findings I discover this trip.

First thing first, Pho is a must have in Vietnam, at least for me, please pardon my poor photography skill, I am really bad at it, am always fascinated by all the beautiful and artistic photos by others, but my fingers won't allow me to capture the image that my eyes and heart is seeing. 😩

Drinking a bowl of soup by the roadside is a nice experience, just not a fan of sitting so low and at a small table, but I appreciate that it's their way of life, very different once you are out of the touristy zone. Adaptability is a key skill in life anyway, they have adapted well, a small road, they have to setup their stall, tables and chair, people are walking along with bikes and even bicycle just right behind you or in front of you and in both directions!

Next is an interesting building I came across, I don't have it' official name, I would love to call it the Coffee Building where every shop in this building is selling coffee (Hopefully I don't get this wrong) but I love the exterior

Finally, I would like to share with all of you this wonderful place (I sincerely believe most of us here would probably know it ) The Gangs Central,

A wonderful place to dine in and after a good dinner, the DJ will rock the house with some Vietnamese numbers and definitely some latest hits like "APT". This is where things get youthful and fun, patrons would start dancing on their benches, some even on their table!

Alright peeps! That would be it for now. Hope you guys enjoy my first post so far. If you have questions about HCMC, can leave them in the comments and I will try my best to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Welcome to Hive, @silent.nightowl! I haven't been to HCMC in aaaaages! It looks like it has changed a LOT! Where are you from?

Hi @consciouscat, thanks for your message, I am from Singapore. Yeah I do believe it has changed a lot over the years, getting better. But one thing likely did not change, the traffic flow, is still a river at peak hour.

Ah! I suggest reaching out to @theterminal who have a lot of experience helping new users and could help you get off to a good start in the ecosystem and guide you in posting your introduction to a related community, such as OCD.

Also recommend you to check these guides for new users, there is a lot of content to learn how to manage Hive, this is just part of it:
