Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe, New Zealand and the latest one being Australia, it's time to fly over to United Kingdom!
This was a trip I made in 2014, I was there partly for work and partly for leisure as well. At that point in my life, it was one of the further destination that I have travelled all the way from Asia and it was definitely an eye opener to see how United Kingdom, or more specifically London, looked like. One thing that I remembered vividly was how strong GBP was, and everything was so expensive. For example, even though the numerical digits of the prices were small, because 5 or 10 GBP was easily a lot already. Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!
Here are the posts so far:
United Kingdom - Living The Football Dream With Chelsea
United Kingdom - The Beauty Of Art and Shopping In London
United Kingdom - Spectacular Fireworks at Horse Guards Parade
United Kingdom - Discovering History At The Tower Of London
United Kingdom - Breathtaking Views From The Shard
United Kingdom - Trooping The Colour Ceremony At Buckingham Palace
After the parade ended (see my previous post!), the crowded waited for the next segment, which would be the exciting airshow! Unfortunately, the skies turned dark and it started to drizzle. Most visitors already made the trip there, so they could only use umbrellas and ponchos while they waited. For once, I was also worried if the airshow could go on.

And after some wait, we finally saw these in the skies! It's always exciting to see these fighter planes and helicopters flying across the skies, and the sound from these plans and helicopters were just as thrilling. Of course the crowds were excited and everyone was just looking up and taking photos!

Just as we thought it could not get any better, I was just so stunned and impressed by this one! 9 planes flying across the skies with the coloured smoke from behind! Not too sure what that symbolized but it was so spectacular! What a beautiful sight!

And that was the climax of the airshow. The crowd gradually dispersed and I made my way towards the Buckingham Palace.

Some of the monument in front of the Buckingham Palace too!

And then I realised the band was still doing some parades at the main entrance of the Buckingham Palace, and some of us who were still around stayed around to watch the mini performance.

All in all, it was a great visit to the Buckingham Palace, not just to see the palace, but also to see parades, horsemen, airshow, and to soak in an unique atmosphere that one cannot find elsewhere. More exciting photos and experiences in my UK trip coming up, so do keep a look out!
And that's all I have today! Have you been to London or United Kingdom? Let me know in the comments below!
