Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe, New Zealand and the latest one being Australia, it's time to fly over to United Kingdom!
This was a trip I made in 2014, I was there partly for work and partly for leisure as well. At that point in my life, it was one of the further destination that I have travelled all the way from Asia and it was definitely an eye opener to see how United Kingdom, or more specifically London, looked like. One thing that I remembered vividly was how strong GBP was, and everything was so expensive. For example, even though the numerical digits of the prices were small, because 5 or 10 GBP was easily a lot already. Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

London is a very vibrant city because on one hand, you have the modern skyscrapers, and on the other hand, you have these historical sites just beside them. For today's post, we are going to visit Tower Of London!
Tower Of London is a historical castle and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site too! Here you can see what you used to be moat!

It was a long way from the metro station because the perimeter of the castle was so big, and I had to walked a long just to find the entrance. Nonetheless, this meant we could snap a lot of photos of the exterior of the castle.

And we finally made it into the castle! It was super crowded because it is an interesting attraction to visit and there were many guided tours with groups of people walking and stopping at various checkpoints. I didn't engage any guided tours because I preferred to explore the place at my own pace.

Of course, there were times I managed to "eavesdrop" some of the sharings by the guides because I was beside the groups. It was quite tricky to get through the crowds as well.

Ah finally some empty place and away from the crowds!

Look! That's... Not London Bridge! Most people usually would think this is London Bridge but actually this is the Tower Bridge. Aesthetically, it looks more grand than London Bridge, which is further down the river.

Another snapshot from another angle, from within the compounds of the Tower Of London.

That's the Shard I believe, one of the skyscrapers that can be seen within the compounds of the Tower Of London too.

More stuff on display, the compounds were really huge!

There were also some towers which we could ascend through stairs and look down from above too.

More and more towers, with slightly different architecture.

And finally, after close to 2 hours of walking and exploring, we were more or less done and we made our way to the exit! Still very crowded with more people streaming in too.

All in all, it's an very interesting historical site to visit in the modern city of London. Very glad and fortunate that they have chosen to keep and preserve this site, and it's an UNESCO World Heritage Site! Seeing all these castles and towers always remind me of the medieval adventures that I read from the novels during my younger days.
And that's all I have today! Have you been to London or United Kingdom? Let me know in the comments below!
