Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe, New Zealand and the latest one being Australia, it's time to fly over to United Kingdom!
This was a trip I made in 2014, I was there partly for work and partly for leisure as well. At that point in my life, it was one of the further destination that I have travelled all the way from Asia and it was definitely an eye opener to see how United Kingdom, or more specifically London, looked like. One thing that I remembered vividly was how strong GBP was, and everything was so expensive. For example, even though the numerical digits of the prices were small, because 5 or 10 GBP was easily a lot already. Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

No trip to London is complete with the sightseeing of the streets of London. While I have shared many places of interest in the city of London, I feel that the streets and colours in the city also form a big part of a city's identity, and for London, they have no short of beautiful architecture, modern skyscrapers, and shopping districts!
Of course, this is what their Metro looked like!

This is the Convent Garden Market. If you play Monopoly, you would be familiar with some of the names and I was mentally mapping these places to the districts in the Monopoly board. Lol. Of course, they had some shops there and I bought some clothes and souvenirs there too.

This is the Temple Bar Memorial and the memorial is topped by a bronze dragon sculpture. Thought it looked pretty cool!

I also realised they had many buildings with flags hanging over the exterior.

This is one of the must visit in London! It's the Piccadilly Circus! A very busy and crowded junction, bustling with life and music and activity over here. There's museums, theatres, fountain, and much more! And the crowds were crazy.

After we had enough of the vibes at Piccadilly Circus, we moved on to the luxury shopping streets, the likes of Regent Street and Bond Street, remember the Monopoly board?

The city of London is also full of arts and culture. They had several of these theatres and musicals for arts and music lovers. Due to time constraint, I prioritised sightseeing and didn't manage to catch any plays or musicals.

Finally, they do have a Chinatown area too. While it pales in comparison to most Asian cities, it's definitely worth taking a look to see how a Chinatown in the Western country looked like.

And that's it for my mashed up sharing of the streets and colours in the city of London. Definitely full of vibrancy and life and there's definitely much more to explore for visitors who are here for longer!
And that's all I have today! Have you been to London or United Kingdom? Let me know in the comments below!
