My Japan Trip - Exploring The Magical Harry Potter Studio Tour (Part 1)

Hello there! It's my 5th post in the new World Map Pin community! Trying to do the tag as well! If you haven't read about them, please take a look at this link.

As background, I have done a few overseas trips last year, as some of my friends here would know, and I have been wanting to share some of the interesting places that I have visited. However, life has been busy and I have been procrastinating penning these entries and recently, I revisited this target of mine and finally broke the inertia!

One of my memorable trips in 2023 was to Tokyo, Japan, and during that trip, I did quite a few day trips to nearby cities and towns. Earlier this year, I wrote about visiting the peaceful Karuizawa, the scenic Atami, the nature in Nikko and the zen Kamakura. This time round, it's a little special because we are heading to the Warner Bros Studio Tour aka The Making Of Harry Potter in Tokyo!

The Warner Bros Studio Tour for The Making Of Harry Potter was some distance from the downtown in Tokyo and but it was relatively accessible via train. It was extremely tough to book tickets because the slots were snapped up very quickly, but eventually, after checking the website for many days, we managed to get an evening slot. So here we go!

Outside the grounds of the studio tour, there were quite a few exhibits like these. Any Harry Potter fan would know what these things were. Hehe!

And here we go!

Right when we entered, there was a big dragon hanging on top of the ceiling. Very majestic yet scary at the same time. Security checks were a breeze I must say.

This was the foyer area where visitors could take a rest and watch this circular panel/screen(?) to get a feel of the Hogwarts experience.

The first set of exhibits when we entered were these movie posters. Brought back a lot of memories for sure.

At the end of parth, we arrived at the second part of the studio tour. In between us stood a door. Any guesses what's behind this? I shall leave this as a cliff hanger so stay tuned to the next post!

With that, that's all for my sharing for the magical Harry Potter Studio Tour Part 1. As someone who has read all the books in the series, and watched all the movies in the theatres, it was indeed a joyful experience to relive some of these memories and better understand how some of the stuff happened behind the scenes. The studio was much bigger than what I expected so buckle up for more exciting stuff later on!
