Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!
Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!
Here are the posts so far:
This is probably the final edition of my Melbourne trip, and my final post for Australia as well! And in this final edition, I thought I would bring you all for a city tour around Melbourne, where I will be sharing all the random photos I took throughout my entire trip as I wandered around the city.
The trams were one of the first few things I saw when I touched down in Melbourne!
This I believe was their shopping district. As it was near Christmas season, all the decorations were up!
A very unique building, this is one of the many galleries in Melbourne and Melbourne is definitely a very artsy space.
Another one, which is known as the Forum Theatre.
This is the St Paul's Cathedral. Very gothic looking.
Around the main Flinders Street Station, there's many trains and rail lines as well.
Moving back to the city centre, here's the Flinders Street Station. Very amazing and beautiful building.
Here's the best angle I have gotten! Hehe!
Melbourne has rivers too! This is the Yarra River.
There are river cruises too!
And restaurants too!
A more calming side of the river. It's nice to take a walk too.
Also chanced upon the locals doing sports too.
There's the Rod Laver Arena, for the tennis lovers!
They have a Chinatown too! But as with most non Asian cities, their Chinatown was not as big and it was more of a touch and go for me.
They had some Christmas related events happening on and off within the cities and this was one of the light shows that I chanced upon during one of the evenings.
With that, my journey in Melbourne and Australia comes to an end. Australia's unique charm to me is mainly the wildlife, the scenic views, the nature sites, and of course the beaches! Food wise, I think coffee lovers would appreciate the endless choices within the city.
And finally, thanks all who are reading this! See you in the next sharing!
And that's all I have today! Have you been to Melbourne or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!
Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!
