Australia - Big Skyscrapers And Small Koalas In Sydney

IMG_6524.JPG

Hello there!

Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!

Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

Here are the posts so far:
Australia - The Amazing Views At Sydney Harbour Bridge
Australia - Admiring The Sydney Opera House
Australia - Exploring The Sydney Beaches
Australia - Story Books Come Alive At The Hunter Valley Gardens

It's been fun re-living my Sydney experience in the previous posts, and as with all good things, it has to come to an end. This would be my final post on Sydney (but not Australia) and we travel around within the city to catch some skyscraper views and wildlife experiences!

First up was the Sydney Tower! Going to these observatories is an interest of mine, and I would do always that whenever I travel to a new city. To go up all the way to the top and just look at how the city is planned, the roads, the green spaces, and some cities do have river and sea views and that adds a new dimension to the view.

And we were up! In my view, the Sydney Tower views had a bit of everything. There were some skyscrapers, but not as much as some of those bigger cities. They had rivers and seas, but not as grand as some other places as well. Nonetheless, it's still pretty decent and it's always great to visit it once and experience it for myself.

Bidding farewell to the Sydney Tower, we also spent some time looking at wildlife. In Australia, there are some signature animals that one cannot miss. One of them is kangaroos! They are so well known to the extent that Pokemon created a kangaroo pokemon within this region. They don't actually look "cute", but rather they can be quite massive and pretty tough when it comes to fighting/boxing. Lol.

And of course, how could we miss out on the lovely koala bears? Koala bears sleep many hours in a day so most of them were probably sleeping when we were there. It's amazing how they are able to cling onto the trees while they are asleep. Haha.

This close up photo of the koala bear looks so cute! Must be having sweet dreams! Hehe!

That sums up my trip to Sydney. Sydney does have a mixed set of activities for visitors and one is bound to find something interesting to do. There's the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House to admire, or the countless beaches to chill and get some tan. And if you are keen to travel outside of the city, there's gardens, wineries, cheese tasting places to visit as well. As for my favourite, it had to be the Sydney Harbour Bridge because it is just so iconic. What about you?

And that's all I have today! Have you been to Sydney or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!

Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!

I haven't been to Sydney, but it's wonderful that you can take us on a virtual tour full of all your experiences with very interesting information. By the way, koalas are so beautiful, I fell in love with their tenderness.
