Hola querido hiver.

Uno de los lugares de visita obligatoria cuando voy de vacaciones a Andorra es la estación de esquí de Pal-Arinsal. Siempre que vamos subimos hasta allí. ¿Qué tiene de interesante un sitio así en pleno verano? Sigue leyendo y te lo cuento.

Cuando subes por la carretera desde el bonito pueblo de Pal ya te puedes ir haciendo una idea de que, lejos de estar desierta, en la época estival la estación también tiene vida. La telecabina que sube desde La Massana no deja de funcionar en todo el año. La diferencia es que en invierno transporta esquiadores y cuando no hay nieve son sustituidos por turistas y especialmente por ciclistas de montaña.

Una de las cosas que más me gustan es caminar por los senderos que hay en los bosques que la circundan. Eso sí, debes tener cuidado en las zonas donde el camino se cruza por los trazados habilitados para las BTT, que las bicicletas bajan a toda velocidad y puedes lamentar un accidente. Ante todo, ¡precaución!

También hay que vigilar en la zona principal de la estación, pues las pistas de esquí se transforman en circuitos y cada año encuentras actividades diferentes dirigidas principalmente a los más pequeños de la casa. Desde trenecitos o pequeñas motos eléctricas, a hinchables o tirolinas. He llegado a ver en otras ocasiones una enorme piscina donde se podía hacer surf. ¡A más de 1500 m. de altura!

La novedad este año era este tobogán por el que te podías deslizar con neumáticos gigantes. Aprovechaban la rampa mecánica para que los usuarios, niños y mayores, no tuvieran que hacer tanto esfuerzo de regreso al punto de partida. Para todas las actividades te puedes comprar un forfait estival con el que tienes durante ese día acceso a todo tantas veces como quieras.

Pero lo que disfruto más que nada, junto a los paseos por el bosque, son las vistas que rodean el complejo. Hay montañas en los 360º a tu alrededor y en algunos sitios se divisa el fondo de los valles con imágenes de postal.

Casi todas las ocasiones en las que he estado el día ha sido despejado y caluroso. La escasez de sombra en la zona principal de la estación hacía que en esta ocasión que no hubiera demasiada gente y el ambiente era tranquilo y apacible.

El conjunto de formaciones geológicas que se aprecian, como los restos de antiguos glaciares, es impresionante. Todo recubierto de naturaleza, incluso el cielo si tienes un poco de suerte. Es lo que me atrae de las montañas, en ellas me siento en comunión con lo que me rodea, formando parte de ella.

En nuestro regreso me preparé para capturar también este puente que cruza la carretera y por el que bajan los ciclistas de BTT.

Hi, dear hiver.

One of the mandatory places to visit when I go on vacation to Andorra is the Pal-Arinsal ski resort. Whenever we go, we go up there. What's interesting about a place like this in the middle of summer? Keep reading and I'll tell you.

When you go up the road from the beautiful town of Pal you can already get an idea that, far from being deserted, in the summer season also has life. The cable car that goes up from La Massana does not stop working throughout the year. The difference is that in winter it transports skiers and when there is no snow they are replaced by tourists and especially by mountain bikers.

One of the things I like the most is walking along the paths in the forests that surround it. Of course, you must be careful in the areas where the road crosses the routes enabled for mountain bikes, that the bicycles go down at full speed and you can regret an accident. First of all, be careful!

You also have to watch in the main area of the resort, because the ski slopes are transformed into circuits and each year you find different activities aimed mainly at the smallest of the house. From trains or small electric motorcycles, to inflatables or zip lines. I have seen on other occasions a huge pool where you could surf. More than 1500 m. high!

The novelty this year was this slide through which you could slide with giant tires. They took advantage of the mechanical ramp so that users, children and adults, did not have to make so much effort back to the starting point. For all the activities you can buy a summer ski pass with which you have access to everything as many times as you want during that day.

But what I enjoy more than anything, next to the walks through the forest, are the views that surround the complex. There are mountains in the 360º around you and in some places you can see the bottom of the valleys with postcard images.

Almost all the occasions I have been on the day has been clear and hot. The lack of shade in the main area of the station meant that on this occasion there were not too many people and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful.

The set of geological formations that can be seen, such as the remains of ancient glaciers, is impressive. All covered with nature, even the sky if you're a little lucky. It is what attracts me to the mountains, in them I feel in communion with what surrounds me, being part of it.

On our return I prepared to also capture this bridge that crosses the road and through which mountain bike cyclists descend.
