The unexpected road trip with my siblings with their family was very exciting. We traveled in the morning because the weather here in Claveria is expected to rain in the afternoon. I've known Claveria because I studied here at the State University, way back this place was solemn and people living here were more relaxed than in the city; just an ordinary place, with a lower cost of living the roads, are not cemented yet, a secluded area and no tourists come because this is mainly an agricultural area. After I graduated year 2017, two years from that this municipality has boomed and people see this place as a gem. They have so many tourist spots here and some are yet to be discovered.
This is the famous towering "Ostrich Tree" You can easily access this one because this is just along the highway they call it Route 955. You can park and take a picture of this tree this is a famous tourist spot because its unique form resembles an ostrich. I am afraid of that big bird, fortunately, this one doesn't bite!😂
We are a small family but when we are together we are big. We enjoy and laugh as much as we do.
This is us enjoying the view and taking pictures of this towering ostrich tree.
Then, we proceed to the popular tourist spot at Claveria View Deck in Lanise, Claveria. This is the iconic big "Mais" Corn.
According to locals Claveria was named before as "TICALA" meaning Wonder. I prefer the name Claveria; it sounds like Claveland. I call this place mini Baguio (Baguio City) because it is always foggy and has a very cool climate.
This is the panoramic view of the Balutukan Mountain Range.
I am their photographer because they want to enjoy the view and I am the obedient sister.
After taking pictures, we went to a local cafe and had snacks and hot cocoa drinks to warm our bellies. The kids are having Chuckie cold drinks and the adults have the hot cocoa.
This ends our quick but enjoyable trip together with the family. If you're planning to visit Claveria then the View Deck is definitely worth a visit.
Thank you so much for sticking with me until the end. I am not much of a storyteller but I hope this finds you well.
