An inner neighborhood Capital (EN / ES)

Recently my daughter Lia and I visited Havana, "The capital of all Cubans." A city that, despite its legends, traditions and repairs, today I felt sad with my eyes.

​This time we are not left with Havana in full color from the postcards; On this trip we rediscovered it "in the neighborhood", as we say here, and I saw it worn out, broken.

​But, despite that, my daughter's eyes managed to see a different beauty in those streets, and that is the city that I bring you today. Surrounded by graffiti like murals, the streets of this Havana intertwine and converge to leave the mark of those who live there.

​A capital, inner neighborhood. I hope you enjoy it as much as Lia. His gaze knew how to see beauty where I saw abandonment.

Hace poco mi hija Lia y yo visitamos La Habana, "La capital de todos los cubanos". Una ciudad que, a pesar de sus leyendas, tradiciones y reparaciones, hoy sentí con la mirada triste.

​Esta vez no nos quedamos con La Habana a todo color de las postales; en este viaje la redescubrimos "barrio adentro", como decimos por aquí, y la vi gastada, rota.

​Pero, a pesar de eso, los ojos de mi hija lograron ver una belleza diferente en esas calles, y esa es la ciudad que hoy les traigo. Rodeadas de grafitis como murales, las calles de esta Habana se entrelazan y convergen para dejar la huella de quienes la habitan.

​Una capital, barrio adentro. Espero que la disfruten tanto como Lia. Su mirada supo ver la belleza donde yo miraba el abandono.
