Chasing Views and Finding Peace at Jade Mountain View Resort of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur

It was Sunday when a Hiver invited me to join a meeting/orientation. Who was I to refuse? I would love to attend such events, especially when he said that the venue would be at Jade Mountain View Resort. The place sounds new to me.

I haven't been to Jade; actually, I didn't know where it was specifically located in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. I just said "yes", and in my mind, Google Maps would do the job for me.

At exactly one in the afternoon, I was heading to the place. I was a bit confused about what Google Maps directed me to at first; I hadn't seen any signage beside the road going to this certain place. Then, after a couple of minutes, I saw a narrow, rough, rocky road beside an establishment. I took the road, and it led me to a place I never thought existed in that area.

It was a nature-inspired retreat place with a misty, cold breeze, with cozy dining and lodging, and of course, one of the places where you would like to relax, think, and stay away from the busy city life. The stunning panoramic view of the mountains and valleys below gave me a recharged feeling.

Where is Jade Mountain View Resort Located?

Located at Loverslane, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, taking the Aurora-Ozamis road. This lane is called "loverslane" because it was the street where lovers had their early morning walks and afternoon jogs, and had their vows and promises echoed to the valleys and mountains below. In short, it was a dating place when this area was not yet densely populated a long time ago.

Entrance Fee?

No entrance fee to pay. Get inside the place, have all the photo opportunities you can handle, and enjoy the stunning panorama. When you are feeling hungry, after feeding your eyes and heart with those photoshoots and snaps, enjoy the mouth-watering food the resort offers in their spacious open-air dining hall with long wooden tables and benches. This cozy space looks casual and welcoming, with a simple yet neat interior.

This is also a perfect place for bonding activities like team outings, reunions, or family gatherings. They also have big function halls for big gatherings.

Scenic View Deck

The place offers a stunning panoramic view of Mount Malindang and Salug Valley below. The open deck is designed with outdoor seating, ornamental plants, and string lights, making it perfect for both daytime sightseeing and evening relaxation. It is also good for prenuptial and debut photoshoots. It is a peaceful, breezy open space for visitors to enjoy sunsets or stargazing.

The A-Frame Cabins

One of the highlights of this resort is its A-Frame Cabins. Surprisingly, their A houses are more affordable than in other resorts. It has rustic modern designs. Each cabin has a balcony, glass doors, and a small landscaped garden in front, giving it a cozy and refreshing vibe. A great spot for an overnight stay or a weekend getaway with friends or family. And there I was, hahahhaha, I never resist taking some photos with the A-Frame Cabins.

Jade Mountain View Resort isn’t just a place to eat or stay—it’s where you can really slow down and enjoy nature. The A-frame cabins are cozy, the view of Mount Malindang and Salug Valley is stunning, and the whole place just makes you feel relaxed. What I love most is that it’s not too expensive, so it’s perfect for families, barkadas, or even if you just want some quiet time alone. For sure, babalik ako dito with my kids.
