Sunday Escape: VitaminSea, A simple Lunch, Sailboats Race and Laid Back Stroll at Jumeirah Beach, Dubai

Hi Hivers! How’s your weekend? Did you go out to breathe some fresh air? Anyway, I’ll share to you our get away. Sunday is always a call for an escape to us. After all the Saturday routine at home, we see to it that we have time to spend it with nature on the next day. My husband decided to have it at the beach again, our favorite place to unwind and destress.
We packed our things, my husband decided to bring his fishing gear, just to be ready if he will be in the mood to do it there. It’s a 45 minutes drive away from our place. We left our flat at around 9:15 a.m. and arrived at 10:25 a.m. You might be confused why it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. We drop by at the Hypermart to buy some food for lunch.

As we settle our things, the sun was high and the wind was cold and kept breezy. The water was inviting but we are not in the mood to go for a swim, just want to chill, relax and breath some fresh air. My husband also decided not to do fishing because it’s quite windy. Not far from our spot I saw line of sailboats. We decided to take a stroll to find out what’s the event. There’s a race, the wind was perfect, lifting all those sailboats effortlessly across the water. We continue walking, we saw some sponsor canopy, some decors for a birthday celebration which I forgot to take a photo because I was amazed with the set up. I think it was a DIY made by the parents of the celebrant. We saw some seagulls gathered on the beach.

There was an area for Senior Citizen and People of Determination with beach beds provided. A place for the children who wants to paint, the area and the decors were so aesthetic, with all the white silk material cloth that flowing through the air cause by the winds. As I looked around I saw from afar the tallest building in the world the BURJ KHALIFA of course I took a shot. A display of the traditional fishing boat and historic ship. We passed by in the area where they are giving free LUQAIMAT a popular dessert in Dubai. There’s also a playground for children. Where they can play if they don't want to swim or after swimming.

We head back to our spot, we saw some men along the shore parked their modern fishing boat, immediately we went to them to see if they catch some fish. And yes! They catch the big ones. They were lucky, with the modern gears they used, the fish finder, of course they will catch one. Not just one but three big fish.

Hunger eventually pulled us back to our spot. Grilled chicken and Pancit (noodles) were our viands with some mix fruits. We ate with our hands, there’s always a satisfaction when you eat using your hands at the beach. The food taste even better.
Our lunch was over , we leaned back to our beach mat chair. Relaxing under the shade of the palm tree. My husband fall asleep as the cool breeze embracing all over the place. I was not able to sleep, I was entertained by the doves gathered nearby as they eagerly peck at the food by someone who feeds them. I heard a chirp sound above, as I looked up, i saw a common black hawk, confidently sat on the palm tree, it remained still enjoying the gentle breeze. Almost without a warning a strong wind came and the sky darkened slightly. We packed our things and decided to go home. Even though it ended with a rush but still it was a perfect escape.
