🚆🏰 From the Rails to the Heart of Barcelona

This Walk was a journey in motion —
starting at a modern train station and slowly unfolding into the deep history of Barcelona.

Sometimes a walk doesn’t begin on foot, but on rails.
And from there, the city reveals itself step by step.

🚄 Departure – High-Speed Stillness

The walk began at the station, standing next to a high-speed train moments before departure.
There’s something calm and futuristic about trains like this — quiet power, clean lines, and the promise of movement.

🌇 Passing the City – Tracks and Sunset

As the train moved, the city slipped by outside the window.
Railway lines, fences, and residential buildings bathed in warm evening light.
A brief, cinematic glimpse of everyday Barcelona.

⛪ First Encounter with History

Once on foot again, history took over.
Stone walls, Gothic arches, and a church tower rising against a perfectly blue sky.

🏛 Layers of Time in Stone

Walking closer, the details became heavier and more impressive —
thick walls, tall stained-glass windows, and centuries of wear etched into the stone.

🌤 Golden Hour in a Narrow Alley

One of my favorite moments:
sunlight hitting the church tower at just the right angle, glowing gold between narrow medieval streets.

🏺 Inside the City’s Past

The walk continued indoors, into a space where ancient Roman columns still stand.
Surrounded by modern walls, these columns quietly remind you how old this city truly is.

This day felt like moving through time —
from modern transportation, to medieval streets, all the way back to Roman Barcelona.

A simple walk, but full of contrast, history, and quiet moments of awe.
