SUNSETS AND SERENITY: Discovering Puerto Galera’s Hidden Gems in Oriental Mindoro, Philippines

Hello @worldmappin fam. It’s me again sharing to you my solo trip in Puerto Galera located in Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.

My solo trip in Puerto Galera is not just an escape. For me it is a self- reconnection and finding peace in the noise of the city. I chose Puerto Galera because it is not too far from me and some of my friends told me that it is a good place to relax and explore. The place is just a few hours from Metro Manila but once you arrive, it feels worlds away from the noise and chaos of urban life. I arrived at White beach, one of the most famous beaches in Puerto Galera. I checked into a beachfront inn. Mornings in Puerto Galera is one of my favorites. I walked barefooted on the sand while enjoying the cool atmosphere and the sound of the sea. Such a good feeling for me! There was no one to talk-just me and the beach.

The beach here in Puerto Galera is quiet and peaceful. The water is clean that is perfect for swimming. Watching the sunrise and sunset at the beach is so special and it is unforgettable moment. You can do everything here, you can swim, play beach ball games, or ride a boat.

Sunset in Puerto Galera is truly a magical one. For me, the best part of the day is the sunset at the beach. I sat down at the seaside while watching the sunset. Some people are enjoying the view, others take pictures. For me, everything slows down during sunset. I can think, breathe and relax.

Puerto Galera has also its amazing waterfalls. It is the Tamaraw Falls. It is so peaceful and you will feel the nature vibes here. You will enjoy the cool and fresh water and the beauty of the nature. The place is surrounded by green plants, tress and rocks. This is a relaxing place here aside from beach. What is good in this place is you don’t need to hike far because the falls are very close to the road. If you will travel here I Puerto galera don’t forget to stop by at Tamaraw Falls.

There are also some adventures in Puerto Galera like ATV. Riding an ATV is so much fun that you will go along with a muddy trail and some obstacles. But believe me, this is so much fun.

Puerto Galera is not only a beach destination. In this place you will have fun in different activities that it offer. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind with your family, friends and loved ones. So if you want to rest, explore or want some adventure-Puerto Galera is perfect for you.

From Manila, ride a bus going to Batangas Pier.
You will take a bus from terminals in Cubao, Buendia or Pasay
