Don’t worry, let me introduce you to our very own “LITTLE NEW ZEALAND” here in Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines.


This place is really amazing that is perfect for anyone who wants to unwind, breathe fresh air, and even enjoy overnight camping. The view is so captivating that it’s also ideal for meditation, especially for those of us who feel drained from work. There’s no electricity here, so what you will see are only the green trees, grasses, and of course, the beautiful mountains. That’s why if you plan to camp here, don’t forget to bring with you a flashlights.



My “KFG” BFFs brought me here for a friends’ date. It’s just a 30-minute ride from our home. These amazing people are not just my friends but they are like sisters to me, sisters not by blood, but by heart. They even surprised me by showing up at my house unexpectedly.


What made this trip even more special is that this is the place where my former intern students live. They welcomed us warmly and prepared food I love, like corn and chicken. And of course, my friends never forget to bring some liquor, like Fundador, hahaha See? It’s Perfect.

We ate, laughed, and even brought a small speaker so we could dance while chilling and enjoying our food.
I could feel the strong, cold breeze brushing through my hair. The peace you feel here is priceless where no amount of money can buy the memories and the time spent with good friends in such a scenic place.
The best time to visit is around 3:00 PM so you can wait for the beautiful sunset, and if you stay overnight, you will also get to witness the stunning sunrise in the morning.
