Helping Without Expectation

I have this feeling that whenever I am helping others, I am happy inside out. It's literally giving me butterflies or even make myself happy whenever I help them with the best that I could, well, maybe I am a giver myself and I also don't expect anything in return as long as I get to see myself that the one who I help is happy, then I am happy, too.

It really feels good that I help someone with the best ability that I can. The best ability that I can provide them on the things that they needed the most, well, it's not about money because I, too, have also problems about money but in other terms like food, things, that I think I can provide, I would not hesitate to help them.

There was a time that I was still working in a corporate job, I think that was last year that I helped someone. He was struggling with his life and I asked him on what can I do help him ease the pain for his life as I don't have enough money to give you. He shared something about his life and we talked it over and over for his problem and eventually, he calm and he said that it was a pleasure talking with me as it gave him more and more calming situation. Well, it's also not literally me that we talked but together with friends and yeah, after that, he was okay.

I realize that I feel relieve after hearing that he was okay in the next day and my happiness couldn't contain about hearing on what he said in that next day. I was glad at that time and I don't expect anything in return myself but I want them happy at all times.

There are simple ways on helping others, you can ask them personally or talk about them, even give them sense of freedom or security that listening to their problems and helping with them is a good solution or maybe the best solution rather than hiding these problems by themselves.
