A WFH Teacher’s Heart: Joys, Sorrows, and God’s Grace : Finding meaning in small wins, challenges, and blessings online

Today, I want to share about my usual days as an ESL Teacher a WFH Set-Up girly. My ESL career started when I am so desperate finding a Work from Home Job due to my Physical Condition. This made me realize realized today that I have been working for a quite now. Since 2023 up to this 2025. I am thinking of growth now to find private classes and earn more as an ESL Teacher.

How I landed a WFH Job

It was month later since the time I got myself back after a breakup with my best friend boyfriend last 2022, then one morning I decided to just get up and find online job that I could try. So basically, being in this industry is just an accident and moreover not my first choice but as for love to teaching, I tried.

At first, there is Judy who helped to be an ESL Teacher today. She helped me where to get TEFL, what to do if I want to be and ESL and even the company that I should apply, the cheap headset that I must have for 200 pesos that time.

Looking back, I really didn't know that ESL will change my life, now I can somehow provide for my family, got married, bought a house and lot and hope to invest in more.

But above all, I know this is God's blessing to me because He knew my physical condition, that I cannot work outside or outdoors. He just uses someone to be a blessing to me so that I can received this gift of WFH for almost two years.

JOY AND SORROW

Not everything is just a bliss, even us ESL teach may get our heart broken. This heart of mine can be broken because of our students. I remember one time; I had this student who is not so respectful to me even his parent was around him that time. That was the first time I cried because of a student.

The happy moment was when I met this beautiful lady where I genuinely love because of her character, so girly and bubbly who is a National Dancer of China in one of the Dance Category. I am so proud of her. On my birthday she greeted me with a banner. This is the time that I will cherish forever.

REFLECTION

Looking back, I think this experience taught me that everything is for your own good, God exactly knew everything about you, the small details and even the big details in your life. It reminded me of the time that I was just starting to be an ESL, now I am tenured, but I know I need to grow professionally and hone my English-speaking skills more. Learning never stops. I feel happy to look back how I started and I’m grateful for my set-up right now.

Still, I want to thrive and continue serving learners.
