The Day I Got Tired Of Repeating Myself.

If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.

Hello 🤗 Hivians,I welcome you to my blog @zusi78

Let me share this here, this was before I joined Hive, and it happened long ago, but it might motivate someone.
For a long time,my life was stuck in a loop.I craved better money, better opportunities and better peace of mind, but my days looked exactly the same.I would wake up,scroll endlessly, complain, promise myself “from next week,” and then when next week comes, the cycle repeats itself.Deep down,I knew I was capable of more, but comfort is sweet, and growth is painful. So I stayed where it was easy.

My breaking point came on a random weekday. I checked my balance, checked my unfinished projects and then checked my excuses. It was the same story, just a different day. That was when the quote above stopped being mere “motivational content” and it became a personal insult.
How could I expect a new life with the same old habits? I was watering dead plants and praying for a harvest. So I started doing things I’d never done before, small, uncomfortable things.I reached out to people I admired instead of just liking their posts from the shadows.I cut down on the endless scrolling and used that time to learn skills that could actually pay me.I also began tracking my daily expenses meticulously,no matter how small,to build financial awareness and curb impulse buys.

I committed to reading one chapter of a non-fiction book every morning before checking my phone, which sharpened my mindset and sparked new ideas. And I started saying no to distractions like last-minute hangouts that derailed my focus, freeing up energy for what truly mattered.None of it was dramatic or glamorous, but it was new and that was the point.

The crazy part? The results didn’t show up immediately. For weeks,it felt like nothing was changing. But inside, something was shifting. My confidence grew a little each time I kept a promise to myself. My ideas became clearer.People started to notice my consistency.Opportunities that never appeared when I was just “wishing” slowly started to show up when I began acting differently.

Looking back,I realize the change I avoided was the change I needed.Staying the same was quietly draining me.Trying something new felt risky, but remaining stuck was a bigger risk.
That quote is a simple reminder, your next level won’t meet you in your current comfort zone.

At this juncture,I would add: If you want something you’ve never had,you can't keep doing what you're always done.New outcomes, require new actions, new habits and a standard you follow everyday.

So let me ask you, what is one thing you’ve always wanted, but your habits don’t match it yet? And what is one uncomfortable action you can take today that your future self will thank you for? Share yours in the comments, let’s hold each other accountable.

Thank you 🙏 for your time, yours truly @zusi78 signing off.The picture is mine.
