As the Lunar New Year is approaching, it is time for spring cleaning of the house as it is traditional for each family to discard unwanted items and clean up every corners of the house, keeping it clean and tidy to welcome all the good luck for the new year.

The same goes for Charles and his family. They begin their spring cleaning exercise last weekend. In the top cabinet, a bottle of perfume purchase last year stays hidden. Charles rediscovered it after emptying out the cabinet getting it ready for a wipe down. It is a gift he has bought a year ago planning it as a birthday gift for his crush in the office. But before he could give it out, he was assigned a posting to another office and his crush has also since left the company. Feeling disappointed, this bottle of perfume stays in the inner most in the highest cabinet.

As a show of sign that he has let go, Charles decided to wear this perfume which held special meaning to him to office the next working day, when he applied it initially, he was taken aback by the smell as it was unpleasant to him, Charles take it as he's not used to the smell that's all.

But back in the office, Charles colleagues who walked passed him or stand near him could feel the smell from his unpleasant perfume and it is so strong that they decided to stay away from him at least for today.

Unknown to Charles, due to the incorrect storage and the length of time that has passed, the odor of the perfume has gone bad and has turned into an unpleasant perfume.

It's no wonder Charles's colleague prefer to have online meetings and minimum interaction with him today.
