With the team expansion announced, there is an opportunity for current operation staff to apply for the opening of Ops Manager - Team B so long they fulfill the requirements stated in the application.
"Guys, as we all know, all who qualifies are welcome to apply for the position" quipped Adams the General Manager.
Adams went on to caution those interested to review their interest and be really sure they are keen in people management and ready to undertake this responsibility.
As most of them now are still an individual contributor, this will put them in management for the first time.
Having a team reporting to you is not something you commit lightly, it is undertaking a heavy responsibility. You have to ensure their welfare, safety and with that the running of the operations. Do not only look at the perks that comes with this promotion.
You definitely get to enjoy the perks that comes with it like the increment and allowances, but remember everything has 2 sides. You must also be ready to handle people, with it conflicts, unhappiness and to maintain the harmy with the team.
"So think carefully what you think you will sign up for" warned Adams.
