Standing in the backyard of the old house, Louis is feeling emotional as he looks at the broken swing built by his father when he's a young boy. Born into a low income family, Louis's grandfather passed on early when his father was a kid, thus the absence of the father has a long lasting impact. Louis's dad was determined to be present in his life. Despite not received much quality education, his father make ends meet with odd job, but there's always food on the table.

Toys and entertainment was a luxury in the family, as expenses are tightly managed by his mother and only when the savings account grew then he would be given a chance to purchase a out of season toy.

Louis loves going to the playground down the street for the swing. Sensing his son's love for the swing, Louis's father spent 6 months collecting all the material and self made a swing for him to which he's overjoyed.

Now that his father is gone and the broken swing is still in the house, it's not only a broken swing, it's a symbol of love for the son by the father, and a key item Louis remembers his father. An item he will proudly tell his own son of the story behind.
