Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Suppress. Hope you enjoy the story.
A group of protestors have gathered outside the president's official residence to organize an illegal demonstration protesting against the newly passed tax law.
Right outside the residence stands a platoon of special force agents that are fully equipped and looks all ready to protect the building and to suppress the event by force if necessary, while the international community watch on and leaders urging restraint on all side to avoid escalating the situation on miscalculation by either side.
To suppress form of unhappiness against the executive of the day is pretty normal, not commenting on the right or wrong.
We must not underestimate the power of the fast followers effect where a seemingly small event have went on to become a movement. That's why suppression by force would be a last resort. Like the case in Syria where armed suppression leads to an eventual war and lost of lives and destruction of properties.
We have to accept that difference of opinion is a norm and both parties should engage in meaningful talks and to settle their difference on the table and to avoid any form of suppression.
Fights and forceful suppression will only make matter worse and it should never be the preferred option.
Do my readers reckon?
