Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Still Living with That. Hope you enjoy the story.
Leonis and Jeff meet up today for lunch before heading to the nursing home to visit Benny who is still living with that injury ever since the accident three years ago.
That fateful night which meant to be a normal uneventful evening for Benny, he ends his shift and arrived home late. He realized he has left his work mobile in the car, decided to head back to retrieve it. Upon getting his phone, he saw a work message from the office, being diligent, he decided to head back to the office as he had left an document unsigned. They need it in the morning, this proves to be a costly life altering decision.
Benny fell asleep behind the wheel and met with a traffic accident, the accident fracture a section between C5 and C6 of his spinal cord, though the doctors at the A&E department operated on him immediately on arrival but Benny was left paralyzed, thankfully he survived that accident.
But with his injury, his wife and 2 children have to make changes to their lifestyle and the whole family had to live with that changes and till date they are still living with that but of course when there's life, there's hope.
