Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Relinquish Power. Hope you enjoy the
It's a peaceful handing and taking over of leadership power within the government. Which can be a difficult situation to achieve in many countries.
Power, which represents authority, is an invisible item that many view higher than money, the visible currency that drives tades, GDP indexes etc.
But, how our money i being spend can be a personal decision. Whether we buy something or engage in a service. However, it can also be driven by policies, which is in turn derived and decided by people in power. And I feel that when you are of superior authority, you don't really spend personally as your time would be in meetings, engagement and official budget would take care of those.
So, politically when does one relinquish power? When the people with voting power decided that the next candidate would be better, then they have to relinquish power as they lost an election. Or in cases like former New Zealand PM Jacinda Arden or Singapore former PM where in leadership renewal, they lay out a timeline to relinquish and hand over power to the next leader to bring the country forward. While in other system, one relinquish power when one passed on in life.
